This game is very evenly matched teams. Both QBs look great.

Raiola seems to have the "it" factor as a true freshman. Allar is still working to slow the game down in his head.

Amazing how it always seems to get called against PSU though, or like that rub route call in Minnesota that got ignored for Michigan at Beaver Stadium a few years ago.

This Freshman QB Raiola is impressive. Goes through his progressions and keeps his eyes downfield. Also has excellent pocket awareness.

I don't think anyone mentioned Allar in this thread, simply impressed with both QBs in this game. You.must admit as a Freshman Raiola is more impressive than Allar was. I think this year Allar has taken a huge leap forward in every aspect of QBing and is obviously more comfortable and confident.

Illinois pulling out that win was great for us
Good games yesterday. Nice to Stanford beat Syracuse. Bad home loss there. Watching a replay of Wazzu survive SJSU now...how bad is Washington? Hopefully just a trap game for Wazzu after that game.
Also the noon games pretty much suck today. It's a shame we don't play at noon.

I didn't say every QB is better than Allar. Allar is bigger and stronger than last night's QBs and that will likely get him drafted higher. That said, Raiola seems better at slowing the game down in his head which is quite impressive for a freshman. Of course he hasn't seen pressure like Allar did vs OSU & UM last year.

Illinois won in a fashion that is good for us and the conference. Both teams looked good last night in a national sort of spotlight game. Ranked Illinois next week probably kicking at 730 now on NBC (although without looking at the schedule, I'm unsure of who else they were considering).

Will be a serious test for us next week. Glad it’s home. Illinois is well coached and will play us tuff. They won’t be intimidated by the atmosphere. They should have our coaches and players attention..

I guess the Kyle McCord love fest is over at Syracuse! Did not see the game but 2 ints and a loss to Stanford is not good. I think our status as the only elite cfb program in the Northeast is not changing anytime soon!

McCord alone wasn't going to morph Syracuse into a great team. He just gave them a solid QB to play with this year, maybe next.

Agreed. McCord didn't play poorly yesterday either. Still the best QB they've had in years but that's a bad loss. No way to spin it.

They beat Jax State and....some FCS team I'm forgetting. No idea if they're decent or not yet honestly.

Louisville Pitt and UNC ( on QB 3 ) could be solid but I doubt it. I think the ACC will all beat each other up and we'll see a ton of mediocrity other than Miami and maybe Clemson. The loss to Georgia helped Clemson.

Wow, Buckeyes bailed out by refs calling not enough men on Los on MU after OSU muffs punt, Would have been MU at 5 yard line. Now, OSU RB runs 80plus yard TD. Game over

Marshall's right side of the line was clearly not on the LOS. It was the right call even if we wish it would have been missed.

Again, they were clearly not on the LOS--what do you mean within a helmet? You have to be in line with the center's waist.
And you don't know if it would have been called on Ohio State. You have to stop the whole "the Big Ten cheats for Ohio State" nonsense.
Even if that's not called (despite being the right call) we all know Ohio State was going to win.

I know you hate Greene but he got nailed on that last INT. The first INT was an ill advised throw so that one is on him. Still he's passed for over 200 yds and run for 55 yds (which includes lost yardage from 2 sacks).

My point is that although Greene has some accuracy issues he's the least of WVa's problems.
