Weekly Fleming/Shorter Post

Fleming was not on the participation list.

Shorter had 3 catches for 19 yds vs Kentucky.

Fleming didn't make the trip to Rutgers.
He did see action in the 1st two games, but he's on unavailable to play list last two games due to injury. Had offseason surgery on a lingering shoulder issue he had since high school that he fought through last year, played with a brace and that limited his reach, couldn't raise his arm above his shoulder. Not sure if that's the issue at present, but will be good to get him back. Hartline was speaking very highly of him in camp

I saw he was playing some on special teams.

Will he take over for Olave next year?

Stop dating teenagers.

yeah come on @Texas Lion, if you’re an adult be a mature one. Let the kid go. Didn’t work out, wish him luck. If he talks shit then let HIM talk shit. You can only control YOUR reputation. And besides, we’ve got some pretty good WRs. Best way to forget your ex is to find a better one. CHECK!

Thanks tbux. Hope the kid develops and makes the show. Except when we play you. A pox on his entire family for that week!!

Some of you really shouldn’t click on the weekly shorter/Fleming posts if you are going to get all butt hurt about it

some people really shouldn’t follow college athletics if they are going to get butt hurt about a teenager they don’t know leaving a school they no longer attend.

You mean college athletics where people are now getting paid? Gotcha. I have no issue with people leaving penn state or not going to penn state. My issue was with what shorter said when he left when it is now obvious it is a shorter problem. Not a penn state problem.

How much older are you than Justin?

The perpetual childish tantrums from you and others keep making this a Penn State fan problem.

What is the motivation for this thread?

To point out what a transfer, who dogged us bad on his way out, and an in state recruit, who many thought was coming here (probably incorrect), who went to get in line at OSU do weekly.

Some are malicious. Some is legit conversation. Many here also downed us, as a program, hard over these two events. It's a nice reminder that not every decision is the end of the world.

Move on my friend. You win some, you lose some.

Move on from what? You ask a question. I answered it.

I didn't create the thread. I can careless what either do unless we play them on a given day. Most analysis has been spot on. If you don't like it, quit responding. You, perhaps, should move on.
While the hostility my friend? I was simply making a suggestion.

Fully expect him to....he'll likely start at one of the two outside positions after Olave leaves, quite likely that Wilson goes as well. Firmly in the 2 deep rotation this year that Hartline/Day prefer to use until injury set him back. If healthy I'm sure we'll see him on the field down the stretch, Hartline has said he has rarely seen in college the combination of size and speed that Fleming brings to the table. Hope we see him healthy

You don’t think the Ohio state wr room will continue to be stout? Cmon man, the kid was supposed to be a five star. Five stars don’t sit and wait for the older guys to move on.
The older guys are five stars too.....and they have more experience in the offense and more route time with the QB's. Of course they wait and learn. They knew that when they came aboard. Olave waited for McClaurin and Campbell to leave, Wilson waited for KJ Hill to leave to take over the slot, it's Fleming's turn next on the outside. Last years #1 rated WR Emeka Egbuka is currently waiting his turn as well - I see him running out of the slot next year. Kid is a legit freak

Point of fact, coming out of high school, Chris Olave was the lowest rated recruit we have in the receiver room.

These guys made a decision to go elsewhere - don't really care but saying PSU doesn't develop WR'a is just stupid - ARob, Godwin, Dotson all say hi - if anything PSU is a pipeline for high end WR's at this point - Dotson could go in the top 10 next year.

Yes he did. He had an assist on a tackle. Here's a link. Scroll all the way to bottom of the "defense" category.
Pretty sure that's a mistake....Coach had been talking about him earlier in the week, that he's "banged up" and he's anxious to get him back. He was listed "Unavailable" in the Availability Report released Saturday morning and every WR that made the trip got a ton of snaps in the 2nd half of the blowout. Fleming would have been on the field quite a bit if he were available.

He'll be a TE at the next level if he makes it there. Probably better Justin never seemed like a high twitch guy which is what they like at the next level.

There was talk about Shorter playing LB when he was being recruited. Apparently some schools realized he’d outgrow the position.
