most/all of the rankings are delayed this week due to the holiday and Scuffle ending Monday evening. also, a reminder that all of the previous rankings are from 2 weeks ago. lastly, a caution that some (a minority) of the rankings had rankings Christmas week, but I did not track them. I'll update this post as the rankings appear on the various web sites, and then make a post when all have been posted/updated.

Average -- not yet generated; below are from 2 weeks ago
Week 5 of the Average. It's not a strict apples-to-apples comparison with Week 4, as a couple of the ratings were not generated this week, plus the TrackWrestling rating was added to the Average. I included the prior rating numbers in the Average for those ratings not generated this week. A reminder that a wrestler must appear in half of the rankings to appear in the Average. Rasheed appears in 5 of the 9, so he appears at 174. Morelli appears in 3 of the 9, so he does not appear at 174. Also, as the computer generated rankings often are more inaccurate (or whatever you'd like to call it) at the beginning of the season, I'll indicate the Average without and with the computer generated rankings. The two averages are not all that different at this point.
Without Computer Generated Included
125: Suriano - 3rd (4th)
133: Cortez - 15th (16th)
141: Gulibon - 13th (14th)
149: Zain - 1st (1st)
157: Nolf - 1st (1st)
165: Joseph - 7th (9th)
174: Rasheed - 14th (15th)
184: Nickal - 2nd (2nd)
197: Cutch - 8th (9th)
285: Nevills - 5th (6th)
Team: 2nd (2nd)
With Computer Generated Included
125: Suriano - 4th (6th)
133: Cortez - 13th (14th)
141: Gulibon - 16th (17th)
149: Zain - 1st (1st)

How long has Track been doing rankings? I noticed them in the PSU match notes for this weekend, and that was my first introduction to those rankings.

There will be no Dual Impact Index this week. Expect the next one, which will be the first with team metrics, this coming Monday, January 9th.

Interesting, all of the guys rankings went up or at least stayed the same. All of a sudden Penn State is in second place right behind OSU. Meanwhile tOSU is down to 5th behind Va Tech. Maybe we don't need Hall after all

Here's the "theoretical points", Advancement and Placement ONLY.

Penn State 96.5
Oklahoma State 95.5
Iowa 91.5
Ohio State 80
Virginia Tech 79.5
Nebraska 60
Missouri 49.5
Cornell 46.5
Minnesota 37.5
Illinois 36.5

Know that differs from InterMat's Tournament Rankings...not sure I can explain why. Appears they now consider Bonus Points, but that doesn't look right either.

Wow. Joseph goes anywhere from 4th to 15th!!!!

His loss and way he lossed to stanford and then stanford losing several times since hasnt helped him. Just win baby! The rest will take care of itself.

Myles Martin's recent impersonation of Kenny Courts - combined with the excellent depth at 184 - has really hurt tOSU in the team tournament rankings.
