A few thoughts:
1. Team must "take charge" in the first quarter. Doing that will turn close games into comfortable wins and kill the will of our opponents, rather than letting them hang around and have hope.
2. Better tilt the field by producing more turnovers.
3. Explosiveness has been great with the passing game, but the power running game needs to come alive. This will establish dominance, help on 3rd downs and in the Red Zone, not to mention getting us going better in the first half.
4. It's about time for us to break one on STs. A more explosive ST return game will electrify this team in all facets of its game.
5. Killer Instinct will appear when the youngsters realize theyre better than the other guys, and can play without making the all-too-frequent "big mistakes" that resulted in TFLs, sacks, and QB pressure during last season.
Note: I have no worry about young WRs not showing up. If we can establish the run early, there will be more than enough open receivers to drive opposing D's crazy.
6. And of course, Defensively: getting more pressure on opposing QBs, and avoiding catastrophic injury issues at any one position
