We could also hold a Roman Triumphus for the head coach after a big win, and erect a triumphal arch for championships. We already have the obelisk.
I think this would be a good idea to get people to move along in big crowds!
We've discussed the new bathrooms, concessions, and chairbacks a lot. So, after seeing some other schools updates- what unusual ideas do you think PSU should do in the Beav renovation?
Blue/ white lighting like FSU's stadium end zone light show? Some sort of black lighting to make the white out glow more? Roof like at Husky stadium to trap sound?

Few thoughts with respect to the OP wo asked for "unique" changes:
1. Change the Goalposts to the old-fashioned "H" style Goalposts. I believe both LSU and FSU still have the old fashioned "H" style Goalposts. This would be a very inexpensive change and make much more sense based on how our team runs out of the tunnel. The team runs out of the tunnel and 10 feet in front of them is the Goalpost. The team members then have to swerve right or left to avoid the Goalpost.... If they simply changed to the "H" style goalpost, the team could simply run between the two up-right ground supports. Plus it would give a great "old school" look.
2. More lighting. I'd add track lighting across both the West side luxury suites and the press box. Beaver Stadium looks good for night games, but it also is pretty dark. Much of the stands are not lit and on TV when they do an over-head, large chunks of the stands are dark. They need to light the place up and night. Make the entire stadium ... including the stands... light up .... not just he playing surface.
I really agree with this one. Steve Jones did a terrific job of PAat Beaver Stadium. This guy is just annoying because he sounds fake.Either tell that PA announcer to shut the hell up, or fire him and hire somebody who won't interfere with the game so much.
I would like to see a wack a mole prototype game with current and former trustees playing the role of mole. Surma, Joyner, Frazier, Lubert, Peetz, Suhey etc. I'd pay a grand each visit to nail the misanthropes with a hammer each time they have the temerity to pop their heads up to reveal their disgusting, misanthropic faces.

How about putting ADA parking back next to the stadium so the elderly and in firmed don't have to be bused in a mile or so away.
SO they could give those spots to $2500+ donors. The HC was moved and there is a shuttle, so no big deal for HC people.I didn't know that they moved the parking... after my dad had his lower leg amputated in the 90's, we asked to get seats closer to the aisle. The ticket office moved us to the special handicapped section and the handicapped parking right by the stadium. They were great about it. Why would they would move the handicapped parking further away from the stadium?
Are you or someone you know handicapped? Back in the 90's, my father in law had his leg amputated due to diabetes. They now park closer to Mt. Nittany medical center, cram them onto those mini buses with their walkers, jazzes and what ever else they need to get around, and drop them off at one of the most crowded gates. All that to appease people who have money they don't know what to do with so they throw it at the university. Let the lame and crippled suffer while the rich enjoy the rewards.SO they could give those spots to $2500+ donors. The HC was moved and there is a shuttle, so no big deal for HC people.
I guess it is all how you look at it. Some would say door-to-door service, how can anyone complain? Are you or someone you know handicapped? Quicksand and land mines on the visitors' sideline when we play Michigan.
And I almost forgot, a picture of Delany at the bottom of every toilet would add to the gameday experience significantly.Mug shots of Emmert, Freeh, and a-hole BOT members painted in all urinals throughout the stadium is a must.
A mile or so away? They are in the lots by the IM building. Why should they get front row parking? If they did that it would be abused. They do have ADA parking close to the stadium for those who want to make the contribution to get those benefits. How about putting ADA parking back next to the stadium so the elderly and in firmed don't have to be bused in a mile or so away.
There is no handicap parking by the medical center. The yellow ADA lots are by the IM building. There are ADA spots right next to the stadium for those who make donations for reserved parking and for those in a wheel chair. Are you or someone you know handicapped? Gate A where the students enter has a special entrance for those in wheelchairs and or an elevator pass.I guess it is all how you look at it. Some would say door-to-door service, how can anyone complain?
Which gate isn't crowded, and would not be a hassle, for someone in a wheelchair or a walker? This has nothing to do with the parking location btw, but feedback to PSU would be a good idea - maybe a separate HC entrance should be considered.
To answer your question, I am not currently handicapped, but did attend games at Beaver Stadium when I was handicapped * in the 80's, and I agree the stadium experience isn't the greatest when you are HC.
* I broke my neck when I was 17, and was partially paralyzed, but I eventually recovered (slight to a little more than slight limp depending on the day). I attended games when I was just learning to walk, with various means of assistance - walker, crutches, cane
And I almost forgot, a picture of Delany at the bottom of every toilet would add to the gameday experience significantly.
Good Lord, I pissed myself..I think this would be a good idea to get people to move along in big crowds!
Why?Completely demolish and rebuild the north end zone seating as a start.
Like some of the ideas about 5min "audio-barrage break" , retro goalposts... permanent replacement of PA announcer...
A) argyle paint-pattern in endzone (ala 1970s)
B) remove all "privliged" / VIP ingress... make Sandy, BoT et al. enter Beaver Stadium as do the masses and suddenly they'd figure out how to fix it
C) $4.00 bottle of Aquafina is out-of-range considering PSU cost is less than $.35 per unit... walk the talk if you really want to make it family-friendly...
d) while not a stadium-concept, i think everyone is calling for a retutn to neutral grey facemasks These days
E) feature the BLuE Band vs. video footage of the Blue Band
So people with "deep pockets" can reap that reward of partying next to the stadium and people with physical problems are forced to cram their necessary mobility aids into a mini bus and be shuttled to the gates. How Christian! Pander to the rich and put the handicapped out of the way..A mile or so away? They are in the lots by the IM building. Why should they get front row parking? If they did that it would be abused. They do have ADA parking close to the stadium for those who want to make the contribution to get those benefits.
