What were the penalties on Hamlers run back?

two holds called....one on Sutherland that looked to be a really bad call.....and one on Brisker that they didn't show in replay
Why would anyone even put themselves in a questionable position attempting to block the kicker? I think they said #7 for the other one, but the audio got choppy. But 37 seems to be good for at least one per game, so if he was in the field, then that's where I would put my money.

The third call was a sideline interference on Michigan which gave PSU better field position. Never spotted the Brisker hold but Sutherland holding the kicker is just dumb even if it was somewhat ticky-tack.

However, to say they got referined? Stop it. PSU got two gifts on the Freiermuth TD (OPI) and the 4th down stop in the 1st qtr (Reid DPI). One a scoring play and one that should have extended a drive. So zip it with the complaining about refs cuz we got the benefit tonite. Yeah, they missed a few holds on Michigan’s o-line but that’s not much compared to what we got away with.

lol that Friermuth pushoff was weak as hell...the Reid dpi was there but close enough that we have all seen it called either way

neither of those were anywhere near the holding on the long play before the stupid minute and a half quarterback sneak touchdown...holding that was out in the open field not hidden amongst a bunch of 300 lb linemen

Agree.... that was so blatant.

And that same ‘weak as hell’ pushoff was the same as what most here were whining about on the Iowa TD last week.

Seriously get the hell out of here with opi on Friermuth, did you watch Nico Collins at all last night?

Referined referined referined

Reid just did what was done to him against Iowa.

^^ Succinctly put, you are outside your rabid @ss mind.

You're entitled to your opinion. For a fanbase that constantly complains about Big Ten officiating (and rightly so in a number of cases), it's awfully convenient to not accept when you've been given breaks by that same inept officiating.

The push definitely gave him space. I think it's the type of push you often see receivers get away with. I thought the Iowa kid put both hands on Reid's back that prevented him from making a play on the ball. Much more egregious IMHO.

Much more egregious, totally agree with you. But both are PI and both weren't called. Given that this particular crew last night was calling a lot of stuff in the secondary on both sides, 87's push happening early may have been helpful. He does that in the 4th quarter and I think the flags come out.

nah you block the dude with the Michigan jersey no matter who it is

you don't stop to check his id or anything

what if he half asses the block and the kicker manages to trip Hamler up?
It should be a little easier to block the kicker without holding him. Sutherland has a serious physical mismatch there. I didn't say you don't block him at all.

15 yards for being a team with aspirations not named Michigan or Ohio State
