What's an unpopular opinion of yours (as a PSU fan or in general)?

I’ve got to admit I was way wrong on Ed Orgeron. I thought he was a buffoon but he totally knows what he’s doing.
Garret shouldn't have been suspended the rest of the year while Rudolph got....... Nothing.
Middle names don't count. I would ding her if her name was spelled something like KneeCoal or Sade.
There is some leeway for tattoos that are not on the neck, face, or forehead.
they're doing the same thing that colleges did....turning a fun, competitive activity into a HUGE deal and ruining it

Yeah. I phrased that wrong. I probably should have said the way that the rule was interpreted at the time. To be honest, I'm not convinced that Avant's heel ever actually touched down. To me it looked like it was coming down but he jerked his foot up before the heel ever actually touched. In my view, there wasn't conclusive enough evidence to overturn the ruling on the field even with replay.
But I know I'm in the minority here - which is why I posted it in this thread.

1. This board is under-moderated. I think the mods do a good job, they just likely have agreed to let some stuff go that IMO should be cause for locked threads and banning posters. Examples for me include posting half nude pics (I can find it online if I want to, it doesn't belong here) followed by numerous comments about ogling them, insulting comments about someone's appearance or sexual orientation (see the number of comments about Barbour), comments that are nothing more than personal attacks (see 90% of the posts by storming norm), etc.
2. Too many posters here believe PSU is some high and mighty school & program that is better than everyone else. I believe that PSU likely participates in some of the shady recruiting tactics that other schools do, it's the nature of the game and is likely a requirement to compete at the level we do. Also I believe that every school has something positive to offer and how those factors are valued by individuals varies widely, therefore I don't blame recruits for going elsewhere. I'm sick of the comments that insult players and other schools when someone doesn't choose us, or insinuate that the loss was only because of a bag man instead of accepting the simple fact that PSU isn't the right fit for everyone.
3. The battle over Joe's reputation is over and we lost. I don't believe any amount of opinion letters, withholding donations, flying plane banners, etc. will ever change things. In fact my opinion is that continuing to do these things publicly reflects poorly on the entire PSU community. Those actions are viewed extremely poorly by the majority (those that associate guilt with Paterno and PSU football), and continuously doing these things only delays the amount of time that PSU will be able to be thought of in the eyes of the public without the scandal being one of the first things mentioned. I do think Joe was railroaded (popular opinion here), but I also believe that PSU is never going to "honor" him, bring the statue back, etc. because they know what a lightning rod it would be in terms of public relations.
4. A majority of our fanbase, and PA residents in general, are overly negative and toxic people to be around. I moved away from PA ASAP and this was one of the reasons why. Perhaps it's just the surroundings I personally was exposed to, but I see it all over the PSU internet forums and social media I follow, including this board, which suggests it goes beyond more than just my individual experiences. This is especially noticeable in threads with posters from other schools, even those posters that come with respectful posts get attacked unless they grovel and overly praise PSU.

I don’t think Franklin will ever get us to the playoffs much less win a game. As long as we get to the Rose Bowl every few years, consistently win 9 or 10 and graduate 85% or more of the team and don’t go all in on the arms race, it doesn't really bother me. He can stay as long as he wants.

Probably some degree of truth to that but you have to give them some credit for trying to make amends and improve on there past mistakes.
I think it is true, sometimes. Frequently, it is a family/cultural thing. The grandparents take a primary role raising grandchildren freeing up their children to be the primary earners in their youth. Once the grandchildren are teenagers and the grandparents are in their twilight years, the children take care of the grandparents. Repeat.
However, their are some people who raise their grandchildren because they messed up. This was the case with a former room-mate who was a train truck. Her parents raised her daughter because she couldn’t. It happens all the time.
No he's not. Good grief. "A majority of our fan base is overly negative and toxic"? That's a judgment of thousands and thousands of people. Neither he nor anyone can possibly make that claim with even the slightest bit of legitimacy.
It also ignores people whose kids are dead, in the military service, or otherwise unable to participate . Anyone who does a good job raising kids makes the world a better place.
He also adds the entire state of PA in with that blanket statement....yet says it's because of what he reads on the internet. SMH

Single moms are not heroes. There are exceptions to the rule but by and large single moms are women who failed to exercise judgement when picking a prospective mate. Single motherhood is not a condition or communicable disease. We should stop pretending it is.
If a magic wand were waved today and racism were abolished a people with an 80% illegitimacy rate would still fail at producing a healthy culture with economically successful children.
The worst thing White America has done since 1865 is put in place a welfare state which has replaced Black fatherhood with a government stipend in a failed attempt to replace the role of the Black father.
At the conclusion of the Civil War EVERY high ranking official of the Confederate government and war command should have been hanged or faced a firing squad.
I am pro hanging the Confederate flag on private property on free speech grounds and because if you are an asshole and my neighbor I would like to know that immediately so I can keep myself and my family far away from you.
I am against hanging the Confederate flag on public property not because it represents racism but because it represents treason.
College football fans who believe “everyone cheats so why not us?” are some of the saddest people in the country. I can see no reason to care passionately about minor league sports.
