Which 2019 or '20 recruits/commits have you seen play this year?

Always interested in the eyes of someone other than a "guru" to get the lowdown on someone who will or may suit up for the Lions! Video highlights are very selective. While they may be indicative of overall skill, they don't tell you much about effort when the play doesn't completely involve them (e.g. WR blocking on running plays or DE when the play is run to the other side). Thanks for any insights.

Taking my kid to see Porter next Friday. I live a mile from the stadium and finally have a reason to go.

I don't live that far from Coatesville. I sort of would like to see Aaron Young play. His QB, Ricky Ortega is supposed to be pretty good too.

I saw Joey Porter Jr. play against Norwin. He was clearly the best athlete on the field. He played linebacker, wide receiver, and on special teams. He is tall and lanky. He runs well and is super quick and strong. He caught a touchdown pass where he had to jump like Dave Wade. I look for him to beef up a bit at PSU, maybe redshirt, and then be a fine defensive back for us.

Norwin has two kids (DB- Javon Thrift and QB - Jack Salopek) with offers from pitt. Supposedly PSU has looked at these kids and has not made an offer. I can see why. Both are a cut below the players we are taking. Both are Akron level recruits. Just another indication that Narduzzi is getting the Pennsylvania leftovers.

Bresee, I see him every day. Nice kid in class, super human on field.

Saw the WR from Southern Columbia, Julian Fleming......pretty damn good. Of course, Southern won't see any good competition until the post-season. Maybe not even then.

Re: 2021, Caleb Williams. Cool as a cucumber, and accurate. While their nonleague schedule to date has been very solid, next couple of weeks bring some elite conference opponents (Good Counsel, Dematha, St. Johns) for Gonzaga and will be interesting to watch. Relatedly, on the "children of alumni" front, Dean Engram (Wisconsin) was, I believe, player of the game last week and has a tall defensive coverage order against Metchie (Alabama) this week that will be interesting to see.

Planning to see Devyn Ford next month. Got to watch Slade a few times the last 4 years

Chris Tyree. As good as advertised. Hakeem Beamon. Man among boys.
