Why doesn’t the Big Ten have their own channel on Sirius XM?

i listen to ESPNU, which used to be College Sports Radio. There are SEC and ACC specific channels, but there isn’t one for the Big Ten, Big 12, or PAC 12. While I understand that the SEC “just matters more”, I think there still would be enough interest in a Big Ten channel.

For those of you who listen to Sirius XM, would you prefer to have a Big Ten specific channel?

For those of you who don’t have Sirius XM, would having a Big Ten specific channel convince you to pay for Sirius XM?

My XM has at least two channels specific to Big 10. I have never heard any sports “shows” on the channel but they do carry live games. I think the channels are somewhere in the 180’s.

There are many channels that are used to broadcast games, Big Ten and other conferences. I’m talking about sports talk radio. ESPNU radio covers all college sports, but mostly football and basketball. There also is a sports talk channel just for SEC and another just for ACC. I only listen to ESPNU, because it has a decent amount of Big Ten content, although there are more callers from SEC fan bases, than any other.

Number 165 I think in mine. I listen to night games driving home from our day games.
The channels that broadcast games are not the same as sports talk radio. They typically use city traffic channels (Dallas, Atlanta, Boston) for sports on weekends when there isn’t a need for traffic reports.

Huh? They did a few years ago. I had a rental car that had Sirius and I listened to it.

Gothca. When I was listening to it I was listening to the 2014 (?) Illinois game out there.
It did not end well.

I know what you're referring to. I don't know the answer, but I would be willing to go out on a limb and say it's a money issue. I read or heard somewhere a few weeks ago that there are discussions.

Also, for anybody with an inactive radio, it is now active through next Tuesday.

Sat radio? Why don't they have an App with a fee for service? Stream game audio broadcasts, do individual team podcasts, generate original content, etc.

84 is the espn U channel but yeah there is not a specific talk one for Big 10
