Why "Social Media" is great....

I always liked Kollin and his wrestling style. Just couldn't close those final gaps. Prolly would have been your 2020 NC though.

This is a shame for USA Wrestling. He won 2 international tourneys in 2023 and just retired Cox at 2024 Olympic Trials, and he's only 27. He's not Brooks at 92 or Snyder at 97, but we need guys of his caliber.

Hopefully this helps rebuild the Ohio RTC -- which USA Wrestling also needs.

A replay of Nolf's 2024 Zagreb Open run. He had a great tournament. I really hope Jason sticks with wrestling these next few years at least, and hopefully through 2028. I think he is just now reaching his highest levels of freestyle acumen, and absent his matches with Dake, he has done very well internationally recently.

Things to ponder? Will Kyle Dake retire after the 2024 Olympics? Will Jason at 27, still have the desire to compete at the 2028 Olympics at 31?

So I listened to the latest Bloodround podcast featuring Mike Amine - just ready to pounce on any passive-aggressive crap he is known to utter from time to time and it was generally pretty good. Two quibbles:

1. He was criticizing the weight compression due to having 6 weights only and said Panataleo would be a world (sic) champion if he could go 70.

Did Zain all of a sudden disappear from this planet?

2. He made sure to mention that Cliff Keen was sending 5 guys to Paris - likely a first - and that “no guys are transfers. They’re all Michigan alums”. Yup - that longtime Michigan man, Austin Gomez.

My opinion of Nelson Brands just went up substantially with his comment. He made me laugh.

Sometimes we forget that wrestlers from other schools ... even Iowa ;-) ... are great kids who work hard and put it all out there on the mat. There's not many villains in our sport.
Wrestlers are great people!!

Classic shot of two gold medal winners and multiple NCAA Champs. Heck, Gable would have been an undefeated three timer if Caels guy didn’t beat him twice for his only loses. Cael must make a fortune pitching Nike. He’s always in their gear!

I think Cael had/has an Asics contract. It’s prolly Old Main that’s making bank on Cael’s Nike apparel.

Posting here because some of you can’t control yourselves in the Oly thread—but DGK made the trip too! I hadn't seen him yet.

I know I'm going to take a beating for asking this.....but who are the guys in between Kerk and Lee?

I'll probably have to turn in my PSU wrestling fan card for having to ask 😛

My sister touched the picture and the names came up. I never knew that!
I just found that out today also. When I clicked on the photo (on my computer) it took me to the original Instagram post. When you click on the Instagram photo the individual names show up on each wrestler. I didn't know this was a thing with Instagram. Still learning at 60 : )

whoever put the picture on would have had to tag each person for their names to come up.
