With almost every starter returning who could return, this team definitely should be . . .

a preseason top 5 or 6 team and, considering the personnel losses that both OSU and Oregon are going to sustain, the favorite for the Big 10. Now let's just hope that the 2025 team stays more healthy than the 2024 team, because we certainly suffered more than our fair share of injuries, especially with five players being lost to season ending knee injuries after the WVU game. The 2025 starters are going to be made up of a bunch of three and four year players who have experienced a lot of success, and they should be able to overwhelm almost every team that they play.

Still need wide receivers.

Who are OSU and Oregon going to buy as their next QB's? Or Are their in house young QB'S ready to step up?
At this point, is there anyone whom they could bring in that would be a significant upgrade over one of their young but inexperienced qbs unless it's a Manning or Ewers?

Top 5 minimum.

Other than possibly Tyseer Demark who would that be?
The portals from USC and Troy should improve the receiving corps, and hopefully a few of the frosh step up. Also, there's another portal in the spring, which is when Lambert-Smith left last season so you can get a contributor then. With this team's running game and tight ends, you just need the receivers to make the defense take them into account and, if they can do more this offense should be almost unstoppable against all but a few teams on their schedule. This o-line should be able to manhandle almost any team on its schedule.

Calling it a dead horse doesn't make it go away
5 targets
😂
And you're incessant crying about it is also a dead horse! You act like you discovered some credible discovery. It's been posted a thousand times over two years. It's nothing that isn't known and the reason there were only five targets to wide receivers.

There are also still 2 rosters left with time to enter…

King will be missed, and I think a starting quality LB from the portal is a must.
Yes. I think there are athletes with speed and athletes with aggressiveness to fill in for Kobe somewhat but none with his durability and knowledge to be the QB of the lb corp. Someone may emerge but that would take time. I had hoped he would return.

It is great that a bevy of top players are coming back. We should be great next season. There is a downside. All these great players will suck up playing time in 2025 and our future stars will get little playing time. A year from now we will be whining that 2026 will be a rebuild and we will be lucky to finish with a winning record. Also, the "future stars" will be tempted to portal when they realize they will get little playing time in 2025.

Not if we rotate all the future stars into the games. I would hope the future stars get a lot of playing time especially in the first three games.

The problem is that the best of the "future stars" are expecting to be the 2025 stars. Giving them cameo appearances in garbage time isn't likely to make them happy.
