Wrestling for Life NCAA Challenge

Ok......I was planning on donating 72.00 to wrestling for life and another 72.00 to the charity that provides wrestling shoes for kids. Couldn't find the second website ( Hey.....it is almost 2:00 Am and the wine has been flowing.....down my throat).....so I made two 72.00 donations. Thank you for what you do.

Did you ever get confirmation that GreenmanRD donated his pledge amount? If he hasn't.........just in case there are issues why......this may help.......I will cover half his pledge if he will honor the other half. I donated before but I really like the work that you do. Come on GreenmanRD.....lets get this done for a great cause.
No confirmation-hoping he just forgot to post his receipt. I understand that issues come up-I already covered one guy from this board that pm'd me, and would do the same for Greenman in the same circumstances.

Gonna do the calculations, as today was the last day. Got some stuff to give to one person from the board with the most confirmed donations!

Last update for this one. Posted donations, or confirmed through GG

HR $625.00
BWI $1,327.95
34 and Counting $399.50

Will be drawing this afternoon from the BWI entries for the prize winner!

Sweet, I didn't know their was a possible prize at the end.

Yup. I got lucky and got cooperation from a lot of people. This is my gift for playing, and doesn't take away any money from WFL.

Cool, I was going to say, in the unlikely event that I win, if it takes money from the kids don't do it for me. Though, like I said, I am sure I won't win!

Mathmatically about the same as the dual meet. 28-13 is 2.15 to 1, WFL results is 2.12 to 1. Both about 68% of the total, ignoring 34 and Counting....

How in the heck did BWI double up HR when they have that 60 year old big donor that challenges people to wrestling matches?;) Good job BWI!!!!!

In boroscotts honor, will throw in an additional $100 to the WFL pot.

AWESOME. Congrats to boroscotts! I know I am relatively new to this board.....and I try to be as honest and objective as I can. That may not always be endearing to all......but I will say with total honesty......I am proud to see the support for wrestling by the members of this board. I am glad to have played some role in the contributions to a great cause. I do have to be 100% though......I am really a bit surprised that BWI was so far ahead of other board's contributions. I do hope that next year......in this one instance.....that others step up to the plate and knock us down the rankings for a great cause. Many props to BWI for truly being wrestling fans. :)

Donation from: CowboyUp61 in honor of BWI's @boroscott (his donation in lieu of added mdse)

Donation amount: $100.00 USD

The transaction will appear on your credit card statement as PAYPAL *WRESTLINGFO.

@boroscott the singlet is in the mail.

The gentleman who won the drawing is primarily an Edinboro fan-Scott the Scot :). I wasn't prepared for that :(. So instead of scrambling, he asked that I just donate in his name. Works for me. Thanks, boroscott!

This is a final reminder for those that didn't post receipts. Hopefully you have made your donation;) and just forgot to post, and not dropped to Spyker level.

Good cause-thanks to all that donated. See you for the world championships?

First of all, I can confirm Greenman's donations.

Most of all, I am humbled by your response to this effort.

We started helping middle schools with shoes in November, 2016 when a coach emailed me that he had 7 youngsters on his team whose families could not afford wrestling shoes and that he could no longer buy them shoes himself. We held an emergency fundraiser and got him the 7 pairs of shoes. Not that it matters, but his team went on to win the city middle school championship.

We will invest your generosity wisely. I buy a lot of shoes on closeout and get discounts from a couple of our suppliers. We also get "gently used" shoes donated from time to time. BWI gifts will meet the needs of four average middle school teams serving financially challenged populations.

After all of your kindness, I'm going to ask one more favor: if you know of a middle school that could use our help, please email me at jbrown@wrestlingforlife.org. Thank you so very much.
