Yarygin thread

Ramos gives up a shot clock point, and that's pretty much all the action in the first period. 1-0 Bogomoev.
2nd period, both wrestlers sent back to corners to towel off.
- step out point, 2-0 Ramos down.
- Bogo gets to a leg, Ramos hops around a bit but it's converted. 4-0. Minute left.
- Ramos can't really get close to Bogomoev in the last minute, it finishes 4-0.

Frank Molinaro v Kelekhsashvili (Georgia)
- Frank more active early, gets a step out point, up 1-0
- Gets to a leg but Kelekhsashvili whizzers out of it, pushes Frank out 1-1
- Kelekhsashvili with another point on the edge, up 2-1 at break.
- (Why are the int'l clocks suddenly counting backwards?)
- Frank in pretty good on a leg but can't convert and ... ref stops things near edge, no points either way.
- Frank with front headlock, can't do anything with it, then beautiful head inside that he quickly converts for 2.
- Kelekhsashvili with a step out, 3-3, but ahead on criteria.
- Frank with a leg, drags Kelekhsashvili out to to go up 4-3.
- :18 remaining, Frank in on a leg, picks up and gets step out point 5-3.
- And that's how it ends, Frank with bronze. Nice job.

If Molinaro stays at 70 KG, he and Nolf might meet up at the US Open and/or World Team Trials. Style differences. I wonder how familiar they are with each other from the PSU room. It was literally a blood battle between Zain and Frank last year.

Taylor will be there to represent in 2020. Most know this already. Cox should as well. DT will be fine. He will not put the matches in the Refs hands as he stated.

The second Darren on Bewitched did a better job.

too cold for capt. America? Doesnt look it!

1983-84 here. Saw my first match in Rec Hall against Cleveland State I think. Me and my buddies were amused at the CSU upperweight who was going bald at the time. Not much foresight on my part...

First duals in 1965 or so. Began going to all of them in 1967-68 season which ended with Gable winning his first title in Rec Hall. Of course, I had no clue who he was until he won gold at the Olympics in 1972.

Anyone know or read why this tourney is free on track or cast from flo to watch but other tourneys havent been? Dont get me wrong, I love it, just not used to getting the free vids anymore.

I think both sites are just embedding the live youtube stream provided by UWW.

NOLF vs. ZAIN?!?!

Does Nolf go 70 or 74?

I've think Zain will stay at 65KG, and Nolf seems well sized for 70. Olympic year is a different story, unless the IOC adds weights.

Stieber wins his first match 13-3.

Kindig got wrecked with two pretty spectacular moves, worth finding video. Won't be long.

Stieber loses 16-6. Was blown away by his opponent. Was a brick wall that turned every shot somehow against Stieber. Fun match despite the bummer result.

Man Stieber hasn't had very "good" outtings his last to international tourneys.

It's painful to admit, but Dake is now must-watch. Just a complete monster.

Someday I hope Dake wakes up and realizes that if he put as much energy into his shot as he does complaining to the officials, he would be a World Champ...

Here are the final set of men's FS brackets:

92kg (Nick Heflin, Jacob Warner):

I imagine the range of possible outcomes for Joe Tavoso in round one runs all the way from getting teched in the first period to getting teched a little later in the first period.

Obviously rooting for him, but this made me chortle.
