I used to like Yuengling. It really complimented my ramen noodles back in college when I was poor, and shared a ~12' x ~20' dorm room with someone.
Go back a live once again. You only live twice once when you are born and once just before you die. In between, drink Yuengling!
To each his own and what is your favorite.
Fosters!? Yuuuck...to each their own indeed. I did like their commercials though.Fosters. You couldn't give Yuengling away at Penn State in the 70s. Marketing ploy, and it was bought by the masses.
I recall getting barrels of Rolling Rock back in college and sucking it down like it was mother's milk. Many years later I had a chance to drink one at a party and could not believe how bad it was. Let's just say my palate has changed over the years. If I want to reminisce, I think I'd rather drink a good beer with some ramen noodles.

At Abington , that 12 X 20 room cost $500,000 to build 2 years ago. That and some $100/case brew ought to satisfy your taste. I don't always drink Yeungling, but I had 2 last night, yummy
So you used the beer for the noodles instead of water?
I like beer that tastes like beer, so I tend to prefer small breweries. But Yuengling is real beer, much, much better than the swill that the big breweries make.Bunch of beer snobs.
Is it $13 a six pack craft brew? No.
But it kicks the crap out of racing beer....

Rolling Rock was good when it was independent and made in Latrobe. Then they were bought out by Labatt, which in turn was bought out by Anhauser-Busch, which was in turn bought out be InBev. AB closed the Latrobe brewery and started making something they called Rolling Rock in the big Bud factory in NJ. That shit was never real Rolling Rock- that died when the real brewery in Latrobe died.Yuengling > Rolling Rock

So you guys who liked it in college and were disappointed years later- you remember a beer that has been gone for a fairly long time now
Yuengling light is perhaps the most undrinkable beer I’ve ever had. A roommate brought a case home in college and we ended up dumping it all down the drain.

For a while they were using the old RR plant to make the Guiness Blonde but they since moved and started a big operation here in Balto.
Natty and pbr went down far easier. Have not tried iron city or Schaefer. Ying light was nauseating. Not sure I’ve described another beer with that word.Natty Boh, Pabst, Schaefer, Iron City say Hi.
Agreed that the RR brewed these days is bad, and the stuff brewed in Latrobe was good for a cheap college beer. Granted the beer scale goes like this: Bad >> OK >> Good >> Average >> Above Average >> Great >> Fantastic >> Amazing >> Unbelievable >> Incredible >> Ludicrous
Have you been to the Guinness in Baltimore yet... They did a hell of a job with it. I was surprised how nice it was.
