Isn’t winner of Clemson/South Carolina winner in the playoff as 11 seed as of now?

OSU is definitely 5 if they lose the ccg and a super easy ticket to the semis by the way.
You think we stay ahead of Texas even if Texas loses a competitive game to Georgia? Seems like they would be penalizing them for making the ccg. Then again it would be our one good loss to their two losses to a slightly lesser team. They would have the A&M win on the road we have the Illinois win at home. Would really help us if USC beat ND in this analysis. I don't know, this is a tough one to predict.
No, I think Texas is 6 and we're 7 (unless they push USC ahead of us then we're 8). Sorry I should have said that better. 2 losses to Georgia will be seen as "one loss" IMO

OT/FC: Fire breaks out at Notre Dame (Paris)....

More than five years later the great cathedral is rebuilt and about to open to the public,

French President got a tour of the restored wonder and it is magnificent. Not only rebuilt but cleaned of centuries of dirt and grime. I visited it ten years ago and it was dark and gloomy inside. These pics show a bright and uplifting scene.

They likely would...losing twice to the same team won't matter. Same with Ohio State. They'll still see it as a loss.

More relevant question for us then is if Texas goes ahead of us to #6 if they lose the SEC ccg? Assuming they don't get punished that much for the loss then this would seem the logical place to slot them.

Huh? Clemson is currently #12 in CFP Rankings but would not make Playoffs as the 12th spot goes to the 5th highest ranked Conference Champion (probably the B12 Champion). USCe is even further back at #15. Given that SMU is currently #9 and the CFP Ranking Committee has already said that they don't want to punish teams for playing in a CCG (i.e., being in before playing CCG and dropping them out because they qualified for, and lost, their Conference's CG), I would imagine SMU stays in top 11 if their 2nd loss comes in the ACC CCG.

Mesh Rewind Play

Looks like the linebacker on that side was man on the running back…..but the back stayed in for pass protection. So the LB just sorta hung out and ended up doing a double team on the receiver that crossed over,

He should have dropped back into a zone which would have covered that receiver.

Or, if he was coached to pickup the crossing receiver in case the d back got jammed……then the d back should have handed off the crosser to the LB sho was in great position on him….. and followed the eventual receiver.

But an interesting route that I don’t recall seeing before.
Yep. Because it was "man" and not "zone", he was stuck. He released the wide out into the middle of the field because it wasn't his guy. then the WR curled back behind him so he never saw the guy. In the meantime, the defender that had him in "man" couldn't get around the wash to cover the rewind. I don't know how that defender could possibly see what was going on behind him and still keep an eye into the offensive backfield to cover for a checkdown RB or QB scramble. Remember, it was 3rd and 2 so they are really defending a short field to try and stop the first down.

Bo Bassett thread

I have a gut feeling Rudis could play a part in his decision and a huge NIL deal for him. Rudis seems all in on branding the kid. Don't they have some sort of partnership with Ohio State (Iowa as well) ? And I think their offices are just down the road from Columbus. And an even crazier idea in my head .. Bo having his sites set on one day leading his college as a coach. Where do you all think that would be easier to accomplish? PSU or Ohio State? The Bassett family seem like "long game" thinkers to me... lol
Despite the location, Rudis could sponsor Bo no matter where he commits.

Bo is indeed somewhat unique in that his social media presence, reputation and visibility opens the door to what I might call a National NIL funding base. At this point, he is going to make a lot of money no matter where he goes.

NIL in theory is prohibited if it requires attendance to any one school, granted none of us believe for a second this is being inforced.

At the end of the day, I do think Bo much like Spencer, wants to be 'the' face of the program, moreso than where he will get the biggest bag. He gets that at OSU, tOSU and Iowa. PSU, not so much.

If you have a login then enter that first. I tried without being logged in and it looked like I would have to go through a whole process before even getting to a screen where I could enter a code. Once I logged in the place to enter a code pops up in the second screen.

Also, I selected the full year signup first and the code did not work. It only worked when selecting month to month.
Yeah, I tried all of that. So, I signed for a month only to see if I'll get an offer. I've had a partial subscription or full subscription for years.

OT: LIV Golf and PGA Merge

LIV is hiring a new CEO to replace Greg Norman. It is also being reported that LIV and DP World tour may merge. I don't know what is behind this but it sure is interesting. I think it makes complete sense to have several leagues that play at the same time, with offset times, or even complimentary times. The PGA is nuts to stop the tour so early in August and then have all of these convoluted events in September ~ November.

Yeah, I've tried, no Bueno on the 2nd screen. I got an email about volleyball, but that’s it.
