It begs the question, why isn't the portal public? If not Mineo, Flo ends up reporting the info pretty quickly anyway.
Do not contact means the kid knows where he wants to reach out to (or go) and sure could mean tampering but not necessarily. In many cases, they also don't want their phones blown up if they are a big time recruit. Max Dean was Do Not Contact.
Where are we thinking Kasak projects at...141? I when I originally was hoping we would get Nagao, I was thinking 133 this season so Davis could redshirt, Then a Nagai redshirt the next year and then 141 to finish out his last 2 seasons. Then I noticed that he had already shirted a thought it wouldn't work. And now I hear he has an Olympic redshirt he could use. Anyone know if that's true?

Every program has allocated their 9.9 differently.
I don't drink the same coolaid that says a kid knows where he is going 100% without having first had contact with the new coach (or intermediary Mr. Lee) before portaling and been provided some assurance as to where he fits in the lineup not to mention how much scholarship money is available.
For example, Real Woods stated he got a full ride. How would he have known what was still in budget for that program without prior contact? Is it unrealistic to think a stacked program like Iowa might only have 0.5 available? The Delta between full and half is real money

Kasak wrestled 141 in his NLWC year, so I'd assume that for next year.
Nagao's Olympic shirt eligibility will depend upon 2024 criteria which IIRC haven't been published. His best freestyle finish was 5th at U23s, probably not enough.
We should all respect the Iowa model. Annually it produces a top 3, 4 or 5 team. Once or twice every decade and a half maybe a 2nd place.

Kids often have a precise plan of where they want to transfer, so they select “do not contact” when they enter the portal to avoid having tons of coaches reaching out.
I dunno, I'd rather check a box on form on a website once than answer my phone a ton of times, respond to DMs, texts, surprise visits, etc just to say no....

With Nagao leaving a pretty good program, and the given guys coming back at their respective schools. His only choices are really Penn State and Iowa, right?
