PREDICTION 1) Ohio St will fire Urban Meyer and Gene Smith by the end of next week. If not, the University President will eventually be removed.

The longer they drag their feet the further up and down the ladder it will impact both professionally and personally.

Next in line, Greg Schiano and Kevin Wilson both hired under faulty hiring practices and both with major abuse scandal ties.

BOT will find much of their pressure from their shareholders and stakeholders at their other organizational employers and personal business and political endeavors. Pressure will be exerted on those other organizations to remove Ohio St trustees who are permissive of abuse from their leadership.

After that? Hello Governor Kasich who harbored desires politically on a national scale.

PREDICTION II) Courtney Smith is going to sue the $hit out of Ohio St and Urban Meyer / Gene Smith personally. She will become a rich woman for the abuse she has taken physically at the hands of an Ohio St alcohol, drug, and sex addict and in the media by Ohio St fanbase, officials, and Urban Meyer.

The report admitted that Urban and Gene Smith covered up and did not report. The report admitted that Meyer knew of multiple instances of alleged assault and the only thing he apparently did was tell Gene, agree to keep it covered up, and wipe his phone.

That decision and the ensuing press conference could not have done more damage to Ohio St if they tried, well, maybe if they put Zach's penis pics up as exhibits. But in all seriousness, they hung themselves. Meyer has 0 credibility even with his "unintentional lies" and Ohio St has rewarded abuse physically and sexually of hundreds of student athletes and wives in a systematic fashion over at least 4 MAJOR programs - FOOTBALL, WRESTLING, DIVING, and their coveted BAND.

The public will hold them accountable, up to the governor if need be.

I will say that I wouldn't be surprised to see more actions taken - once more information comes out. If tosu had this thing locked down, they never would have suspended Urbs.

Yeah, I guess no one is discussing the fallout from the Ohio St decision and press conference.

Discussing it is fine but you keep writing books about it. I understand you hate the situation but both predictions are unlikely if we're dealing with what is instead of what you want. Urban isn't going anywhere. Most of us have said that since the beginning.

ILL WILL. This is something that I try very hard, not to wish on anybody. What is so FRUSTRATING is the unequal treatment of people. Why does Urb get this and Joe got that? Why does Emmert and Delaney grand stand about the fiasco at PSU but remain mute when other schools have issues? Why can Hillary get away with this but Trump can't do that? And so on and on and on. Justice should be applied equally to all, but it doesn't happen this way at least right now.

To the op, I said from the outset Urban would be fired and I based this on the fact that it seemed apparent any investigation was going to find even more evidence to implicate him. And it did. But, I should have known better. I lived in Columbus for three years in the 80's, the Earle Bruce years, ironically. Anyone who believes PSU fans are overly zealous, rabid, idiots who care only about winning football games, you ain't seen nothin' compared to the OSU faithful. I thought perhaps in the past 30+ years their zealous support for football would be tempered at least on some level for a concern for other issues that may be a bit more important. No chance!
To me, perhaps the big loser in this is the reputation of the people of the not so great state of OH. They come across, through their silence, as complete losers who would prefer to spend their time poking holes in the story of a woman who claims to be the victim of domestic abuse than trying to find the truth and then being willing to accept it. Very sad for Ohio and a really bad look.
No matter what people may say about "joebots" and PSU faithful, during our scandal there were many, many very loud voices in the PA media and elsewhere within the state who did not blindly support a specific narrative. In OH it seems there are only two options, remain silent on the issues or support Urban unconditionally regardless of what the findings of fact are.

Couldn't resist the opportunity to inject politics. Hood and robe back at the cleaners? I hear that it's tough to remove the odor of smoke from some fabrics.

Tressel was originally suspended before being terminated so not out of the question but it’s all tied to more info coming out. It won’t be in a week.

Unfortunately politics have been injected in a lot of posts regarding the OSU scandal. From BOTH sides of the aisle. Very inappropriate, but I don’t believe those posters have officially been admonished.

^^ Ding, ding, ding! Clang, clang, clang goes the cowbell. We have a winner. ^^^

Inequality is precisely the reason why we need to keep writing about it, talking about it and keep it on the front burner. If we don't then these abuses are only going to proliferate. The elites think they can walk between the rain drops.

I guess that's his cross to bear. Anyone want coffee?

No way the OSU President survives this. He was standing up to football by trying to do the right thing. He gone soon.

Maybe I've missed some history here, but I'm not sure how or why assumed Trump support leads to several posters throwing out veiled and not so subtle racist accusations. That shouldn't be happening.

Just gonna throw this out there. If the season is tough on Urban - and I mean that it does not go the way they hope with their new QB and offense, and they lose more than 3 games - I think Urbs "retires" and heads to the TV booth for a while. Maybe resurface in a couple of years.

Maybe I'm wrong --- but I think, despite yesterday, that Urban Meyer still doesn't coach at OSU again.

I don't think this one will fade quickly.

No matter what, major damage has been done to the program. Its just a matter of how much. I was going to suggest that he'd be unemployable at ESPN but then images of Keith Olbermann and A-Rod streamed into my consciousness.

Missing King Ad Buck today.

Some of you guys are just as bad as the Pitt and Rutgers fans after sanctions got reduced. We got railroaded they didn’t, that’s life. Who cares, my focus is on our program and I’m pretty damn excited about where we’re at. I want Urban Meyer to be there so we can beat him and overtake them while he’s there, nothing less. Move on fellas

Can't wait to see how this plays out. I won't mind being wrong here at all but I really don't understand what people think is going to happen. Ohio State is simply waiting for the Texas A&M situation to blow up so people move on. Or for Maryland to do something stupid with Durkin

Agreed but our fan base never moves on...right?

You have to wonder about the assistants. They are getting sullied by working for Urban. It would take gigantic balls, but I wonder if any of them decide to leave before the end of the season.

You and many others are already wrong. No punishment. No more information out there. No outrage from the public. All of that is already been proven wrong.

Now, watch as the pressure from the inconsistencies in their report, the report and their actions, their actions and their words, their words and their sincerity, etc do them in. And there is still quite a bit out there particularly with Smith’s landing of 15 of 19 of his high 4 and 5 star recruits from nowhere near Columbus while spending $600 a time at strip clubs in places such as Miami where he landed them.

Now, every sports reporter in the nation who is looking to make a name for themselves has their eyes on Ohio St where Meyer, Gene Smith, Zach and others were deleting texts to cover their tracks and the local police were changing reports years later. Some of that is still to come out. Getcha popcorn ready!

Well, it's pretty racist of you to even suggest that people that support President Trump aren't card carrying kkk members and of course nazis.

I'm pretty sure if the Browns were worth a shit, the fans wouldn't have been in full retard mode to save Urban's job. When all you have in Ohio is buckeye football, this is what you get.
