Lee won 8-3, Turk took a swipe at Lee unnecessarily waiting for a restart with 1 second left prior to the ref blowing his whistle.
I'll give this a shot...
Nick Lee vs. Vince Turk
Period 1
Turk in on a single leg and able to finish, 2-0 Turk. Lee tries to escape, OOB. Lee escapes on a quick stand up 2-1 Turk. Lee with a quick TD to make it 3-2 Lee. Escape for Turk ties it up 3-3. Lee with a double leg and another TD, 5-3 and rides out to end the period.
Period 2
Lee on top. Rides for the full 2 minutes. 2nd Period ends 5-3. 2:30+ in riding time.
Period 3
Less sits out and escapes in about :20. 6-3 Lee. Lots of posturing, no TD's. Turk tried to use the Rutgers playbook with a lot of head slaps when in neutral. Nick gave him a good one back near the end. Turk tries to jump the gun on the whistle after they went OOB and got a penalty point for an illegal move (missed what he did) 7-3 Lee. Period ends, 2:17 in riding time gives Nick Lee an 8-3 win.
He'll face Purdue's Nate Limmex for 3rd Place in a rematch. Lee won 14-4 in their first match.

Beautiful wife and kid, an eventual PSU grad degree. He is in the first half of writing his Penn State stories. I believe it will a good read.

And Iowa thinks everyone roots against them simply because of their rich tradition. Way to represent your University Turk.
Prefer to think he was channeling his inner Brands. They were quite the punks when they wrestled.

Richie Lewis with the last second win over Marinelli with a jump over. Then taunts Brands with his hands for jawing from the sidelines.
I suspect Richie Lewis is the new favorite guy to hate on HR.
I gotta believe the Brands yap a lot.
at least bull and massa get to wrestle again for .......5/6th.....lollolololo
We have all seen the Brands antics, I am sure the wrestlers have experienced and are letting them have it. Not saying I agree with it, but their "passion" is probably noticeable from the wrestlers standpoint
and just like iowa is eliminated from team title contention.....

Lewis was given an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty, pretty sure they lost a team point for that.
Marinelli loss eliminates any chance he would be seeded above VJ if he loses to Imar
Who is the world is counting out Spencer Lee at NCAAs? No one in his right mind would do so.
After them praising Gilman’s antics for years, it takes a lot of hypocrisy for HR to get on Lewis’s case...maybe if you couldn’t hear Brands constant yapping, opposin wrestlers wouldn’t be so tempted to be “ classless”

Who cares? If a point was deducted, it was well worth it, just for the entertainment value.
Re: Lewis/Marinelli, Rutgers simply does not know how to win with grace and it starts at the leadership level. Let your performance speak for you, taunting opponents only makes you look like an ass.
Somewhere in a parallel universe Rutgers and Iowa might belong together and communicate there via common language called "Trash Talking."
They sort of deserve each other; it's a nice match.
