No, I hope not. This program is bigger than any one player, once again. I certainly hope that the staff doesn't sit with their dicks between their legs and their fingers crossed on LOI day. If they don't know what the situation is by then, then it's best that they cut their losses and move to Plan B.

We're nobody's bitch anymore.

Are you saying that the entire staff has one dick? I sure hope not.

That’s not much dick per capita

As of last night, OSU Land Of Ten thinks Friday is still a UM lean. Have not seen any recent CBs or articles that imply otherwise. Maybe JF sways him after a PSU visit. Who knows? The kid is very tightlipped.
I stand corrected as that is more recent...last week OSU article hinted that he was "feeling" tOSU elsewhere.

Possibly related to Tyler Friday?

Jean-Baptiste has a seemingly "second/third-tier" list of offers ranging from VT/Nebraska to Monmouth. Why no offer from PSU? The quotes below make him appear to be quite a catch.

"He is ranked the No. 9 outside linebacker in the nation per 247Sports, Jean-Baptiste also holds offers from Baylor, Nebraska, Purdue, Pittsburgh, Tennessee, Virginia Tech, Boston College, and Monmouth.
“The NJ.com 2017 Defensive Player of the Year finished his senior season with 88 tackles, including 14.5 for a loss, and 11.5 sacks. Developing a knack for making the biggest plays in the biggest moments,

He measured in at The Opening at 6'4.5" and 204 pounds, ran about a 4.8 40 iirc. Got a pretty long way to go to get to defensive end weight. We only have a few spots. Wouldn't slot him ahead of Walker, Enis, or Friday.

Something doesn't fit right. He is 4 Star. Defensive player of the year in NJ? OSU is first elite to offer him this late in the cycle?

Not sure what you're driving at. Oweh is 6-5, 240 and ran a 4.6 40. JB isn't the same level of athlete. There are many kids who are very productive at the high school level that it doesn't translate to college. Ohio State is very thin at DE, so he gets an offer. Maybe he'll turn out to be a great player in college, maybe not, but I highly doubt our staff overlooked him.

I'm tracking with you and agree. He was at PSU Camp last June. Schiano is chasing him for OSU (NJ connection). He is a real "tweener" at 6' 5" and still growing. He was listed on HS roster as OLB/SS.

His measurables look more like those of a LB like Cam Brown than they do a DE. As a DE he looks like quite a project physically. As a LB the staff may believe he is too slow. Who knows. None of us. But CJF knows..... Obviously, within CJF's evaluation he is not a "4 star"....

Looks like Friday will be going to Columbus. Saw 6 CB's today to go there. So probably no surprises in this class. Just waiting on Enis, Walker and if / when SAB is able to sign.

Walker tweeted that he’s announcing on signing day (#2) and his official visit is the weekend of the 20th. That probably means he’ll make another unofficial visit to psu as well. His decision is going to be a toss up. I think a big factor is Tyler Bowen getting hired at PSU but their OL depth chart is very young so that may work in our favor. 50/50

We need to blow him away. It’s about 75/25 PSU right now.

Can’t wait for the Sam Webb spin zone on this if Friday does end up at OSU.

Couldn't blame him. I wouldn't want to play for a mid tier BIG team either if I had offers from every school.

Otis Reese and J. Patterson will soon choose other schools as well. But hey, we will get our 7th 3* CB! He's 6'2!

Thought they didn't have room for him?

Surely there is an unhrralded DT recruit in the middle of South Dakota that had great upside!

Perhaps there’s one they have in mind from the euro pipeline. Perhaps they can flip a water polo recruit heading to coastal Carolina. When you can’t beat anybody for the recruits everybody wants go get the guys nobody knows about.

Remember Harbaugh's first year after the bowl victory when he used the train analogy about the program? He said something about the momentum of the train turning around and going the right direction (winning)?

The moment has shifted and is going in the wrong direction now . This is true whether you want to believe it or not.

not surprised at all. Harbaugh has been outcoached and out recruited so far his time here.

Remember when the insiders were "confident" we would land 2/3 of our DT targets.

Whelp.

Bye Friday. Bye Sandidge. Bye M Thompson (even though we stopped recruiting for whatever reason).

There is no excuses for this. OSU's plan C and clearly our Plan A for 2 years, still lose out.

Can't blame him. Choosing between a title contender and a team that is projected to finish fourth in it's own division next year? Yep, if I'm a recruit with no prior loyalties, I know where I'd rather go.

Michigan is MAYBE the 5th best team in its own conference right now. MSU, PSU, Wisconsin are all better options right now, and OSU has been skating circles around us for years. It's a shame that one bad year has almost undone all the progress Harbaugh made in restoring the program's image, but it is what it is. You're only as good as your last win.
