Sixers up 14 at the half. Scored 72 in the half. Every Sixer that hits the court is playing well at this point. Danny on fire but Joel is doing God’s work out there tonight. 25 at the half and doing whatever he feels like.

Great start to the game. Sixers got a little flat during the 2nd qtr, but ended strong. JoJo with two power drives to the bucket for the slam, but only one went in (the other bounced off the back of the rim). 14 points feels comfortable, but the Wizards can score a bunch in a hurry.

BTW, I watched about 1/2 of the Celtics - Nets game yesterday. I never root for the Celtics, but it was nice to see them put a hurting on Brooklyn in the 3rd quarter, and win Game 3, 125-119.

I wouldn’t mind Maxie getting minutes that were planned for Shake for the rest of the playoffs. Bench is gonna get shorter as they move from series to series and Shake just seems lost. Maxie for short bursts brings some energy. He plays really hard on the defensive end and seems to have a speed mismatch against anyone checking him.

I would have disagreed halfway through the season. Shake was doing well on O, and didn't hurt you on D. Alas, as you mentioned, Shake seems lost of late, and Maxie's speed does create mismatches for a lot of defenders.

Sixers lead 61-60 at the half. The officiating has been all over the place. Embiid left in the first quarter and didn’t return. Simmons spent much of the half in foul trouble.

On a totally absurd call. Wiz knew Embiid was out and Ben had 3 fouls. They made it a point to flop as soon as Ben came near. Refs call a make up call on Beal seconds later. But the damage is done with Simmons 4th

the lineup since Jojo went out has confused me. Maxey, Shake, and Thybulle were on the floor at one point in the 2nd quarter (Howard was with them; I forget the 5th player).

Howard finally came in with about 5 min left in the 3rd quarter. At this point it's Howard, Green, Maxey, Curry, and Tobias for the Sixers

And he was right. Oddly enough the Sixers coach saw no problem with trading 2 for 1 three straight trips. The second time it happened he needed to pull Simmons.

Doc going HARD at the press conference at the reporters about Ben Simmons. They all backed down until...Dei Lynam went back at Doc. Loved when she said “so 50% is good enough from the line?” and he finally said “Well no...”

I agree and am sooooo glad the Sixers didn't trade Maxey for Lowery. I think Toronto has to be kicking themselves now they over estimated Lowery's value and now they get nothing. Sixers Keeping Thybulle and Maxey I think will pay off big time down the road and Maxey is a star in the making.

My 15 year old daughter started playing basketball for the first time ever 6 months ago and was on her high schools JV team - she has a higher free throw shooting percentage than Simmons - how can you be a pro basketball player and be unable to make free throws and jump shots from the field with any consistency

Yep. These guys are incredible at home and the WFC will be at full capacity. Also, they had a good run earlier in the season when Joel missed a few weeks with a bone bruise on the other knee.
