I don't know what Facundo is thinking, but if I had to guess, I bet he's chomping at the bit to help his team win a national title.
Certainly impressive thru 6 matches
Global Warming
I think Byers was passively saying that at the end. Why have a big event when you can’t get the best matchups especially in non-conference matchups.ASU sitting Schultz is exactly why people shouldn't go to events like this. You don't ask people to travel and shell out $70 then duck in one of the marquee matchups.
that is an all time great match, sir.Did you forget Alton-Grajales?
You need out more.that is an all time great match, sir.
the pure ecstasy in gibbons' voice, laughing as alton is on his back, might be one of the last things i hear before i die. magnificent.
It's Cael's Fault. If he would have kept the score close......they would have had to send out Schultz. Stop blaming other coaches. Brands sent Kemdog out twice..............to weigh inASU sitting Schultz is exactly why people shouldn't go to events like this. Unfortunately, with the direction the seeding committee has gone, it makes sense for ASU to sit Schultz. I don't agree with it at all, but they're playing the system. If Schultz loses to Kerk, he's probably the 4-5 seed. Now, Schultz most likely goes undefeated and gets the 2. If the seeding wasn't so jacked up, I am thinking Cael may have called the match with Kerk's nose split open, but that would be a loss.
He can beat the mouth from okie dokie with that bow and arrow. Nothing would make me smile more than Dean putting ferair in a bow and arrowAfter months of transfer talk around 125, 157, and 165, the transfer of Dean might be why we win the title. I seriously think he’s a clear #2 at 197.
Or any one of about 20 Sam Stoll matchesDid you forget Alton-Grajales?
Why don't you play it on a loop tonight. We'll cross our fingers and hope for the bestthat is an all time great match, sir.

This was the best part of the night. Felt bad for his opponent lol.Im not sure what happened in Carter's match, but I like pissed off Carter!!!
Im not sure what happened in Carter's match, but I like pissed off Carter!!!
I think he was just pissed about his match last night. Sounded like he was extremely mad after his match and people were commenting about how he was going to dominate todayJust a guess, I'm thinking that Coleman caught a piece of Carter's face with his finger nails.
He didnt start the match with the brutality he finished it with. He stared the guy down after handshake, trust me he did (or said) something to Carter sometime in 3rd.I think he was just pissed about his match last night. Beat me to it. Was going to reply the exact same thing. To be fair, Stoll looked like Bo Nickal compared to Tony Nelson.
Watched Carter a good deal in high school. When he gets pissed, it is a completely different Carter. Sometimes it borders on giving up a point for unnecessary roughness. He gets super physical, picks up his pace, and is relentless everywhere. The problem with coming out like that is gas tank. Usually when guys go out all pisssed off, at some point you get the adrenaline dump, and your wind is gone. However, if Cael or Casey could punch Carter about half way through every match, he would be my number one pick to win nationals.Im not sure what happened in Carter's match, but I like pissed off Carter!!!
You are correct. However, there's two things that go against Facundo wrestling this year. 1. Edsell is not wrestling terrible. He's been in every match he's wrestled, and if you can keep matches close, you have a shot. I know that goes against the PSU way of scoring points, but it is what it is. 2. 165 is incredibly deep this year. I myself would not want to burn Facundo's redshirt for the chance he'll score more points. I don't believe he's wrestled at all this year so that may be the coaches thoughts as well. Rumors are he'll be at the scuffle. If he goes out there and wins it, then they'll have a serious conversation. But Casey said as of now, the plan is to redshirt himI don't think it's necessary for Facundo to make the podium in order to score more than Edsell at NCAAs. Every single point will count.
YesBeat me to it. Was going to reply the exact same thing.
@Junglekitty more important than lottery numbers... does Hildbrandt wrestle for PSU in March?
Yep …they walked straight into the tunnel and never made any effort to shake hands … Iowa being Iowa … follow the example of their ‘leaders’Did I just see the Iowa team walk off without shaking hands after heavyweight? Not a good look if that what happened.
He’s from the future
Iowa season tickets are sold out this yearASU sitting Schultz is exactly why people shouldn't go to events like this. You don't ask people to travel and shell out $70 then duck in one of the marquee matchups.
I'm not saying Dom Bradley and his grown ass man strength were a statue in college, but he was completely covered in bird poop.To be fair, Stoll looked like Bo Nickal compared to Tony Nelson.
The plan is often to redshirt true freshman at this time of year, but as we’ve seen before, plans do and have changed. We’ll see what happens. We certainly looked like the better team than Iowa tonight. Facundo can always redshirt next season when Iowa loses a ton of guys and tOSU’s young recruits will still need some seasoning.Watched Carter a good deal in high school. Remember, Cael isn't just thinking of what's best for individuals and the team this year. He needs to be, and is, thinking years down the road.
I think Cael mentioned at one time that the only way they'll wrestle someone as a true freshman is out of necessity, or they have a chance to win nationals. I don't think either of those are the case for Facundo.
Tony is not intimidated by anyone. Love his aggressiveness and he wrestles to win. Still just learning in some ways, but love his attitude and desire to win. some of these tough matches are going to go his way.Tony Negron is one scrappy SOB
