2021 NCAAs

Ohh, Desanto. I can always count on your off-the-mat behavior to overshadow your wrestling performance.

The announcer just said DeSanto could wrestle all day. He doesn't drink, doesn't party. He doesn't go to the mall. Wait... what? He doesn't go to the mall? Get outta town!! Man, if only I could stay away from the mall I could be an all American too!
But *nobody* goes to the mall anymore....

Does anyone know if ESPN archives the championships immediately or anything? There’s a possibility I will miss the first hour, and I would rather not catch the second half of it without seeing the beginning. I would much rather wait until after the whole thing is over tonight, and then watch it on replay immediately (on ESPN3 or something).

I don’t have DVR/Tivo

ESPN3 treaming link for those that need it. FYI most cable subscriptions allow you to view for free when you log in to your cable account (i.e. Spectrum for me). They also archive the sessions just click on "REPLAY"

ESPN will hold the start of the finals until this very important NIT game is over. We won’t miss anything, but it likely won’t begin until 7:30.

NL is clearly laser focused. JE is Bo like.......I thought Nick had a TD in the BTF, then JE cuts the corner and gets one of his own. The kid from NCST had a good shot and ended up on his back. 100% committed shot or nothing. I would like to see someone make JE have to be the aggressor.

Going to be wild. Our team is definitely in the Saturday Night mode.
Keep it to outside angle leg attacks and crisp finishes....if the shot is well defended, give it up quick and reset. He beat him on his feet in freestyle and he can do it again this evening 👍

Fix and Kemerer be like

And this is the worst scenario. The 7-8 point game. If it’s real close they actually play it out, less fouling

Brutal

I'm intrigued by the RBY - Fix matchup. RBY is blazingly fast. He scores half the time on his own shots, and the other half on counters. Fix really lowers his level when on his feet, is quite strong, and is a great scrambler. I don't see a clear advantage in terms of on their feet, on top, or on bottom for either guy. It would not surprise me if it's low scoring, has multiple stalemate and OOBs, etc. It would be interesting to know what gameplan PSU's coaches and RBY have for Fix.

Float like a Butterfly. Sting like a Bee.

7 PA wrestlers in the Finals

2 IN wrestlers in the Finals

2 AZ wrestlers in the Finals

No other states with more than 1
Interesting. I saw a post earlier that showed about 18% of the entire field was from PA. I used to track that every year (starting about 20 years ago)... And it was pretty consistent over a long stretch of years. I never thought to apply the same metric to finalists. I would not be surprised if that has been true for most years.

Axe Throwing instead of Byers and NIT basketball.............doesn't get any better than that ?? UGH !!!
EDIT - my bad, wrong station for radio. Still have BBall.......rather have a sharp stick in the eye !!!
