2021 NCAAs

Hope it's no takedown. I've got nothing against Sasso really, but he's one of the least impressive #1s of all time.

Wow; I don't know. I thought they were going to give the 2 there. Seems pretty subjective.

Are they changing referees for every match? If not, how could a referee call RBY for stalling three times, and not call Eireman for stalling once in the third period or overtime? Crazy!

Stalling is way too subjective. I think they should get rid of it or make it more quantifiable.

I don’t understand why Sasso is so conservative. He’s nearly unbeatable if he opens up.

It was really close, but keep in mind that there was no call in regulation. I presume it's much like football where you need "conclusive evidence" to overturn an on the mat call.

That was a TD.

Hate Eierman and I'm not a fan of Iowa, but in fairness, that was incidental and was by no means intentional. Proper non-call.
I think the point is that if it was Nick's finger that got caught Eiermann would be a national champ right now.

Take that Eireman-Iowa stalling bullshit crap. Takedowns 2-0 Lee. Ridiculous that the match even went to SV - a huge problem in Folk Wrestling as you've seen throughout these Championships (how many 1-1 and 2-2 matches have we seen throughout these Championships - way too many!). The way to stop this bullshit is to stop rewarding it. The first thing they should institute in Folk is create a criteria for tied matches that only matches where no wrestler wins on criteria go to SV. Highest scoring move should be first criteria. If both wrestlers have the highest scoring move (i.e., 4-Point Exposure highest), it is then number of highest scoring moves. If both wrestlers have same number of highest scoring moves, then it's second highest scoring move (2-Point back exposure). If both have 2nd highest move, then it's number of 2nd highest move. If both have same number of 2-point back exposure, than it's TDs. If both have TDs, then it comes down to number of TDs...

Neither RBY's or Lee's match should have gone to SV. Both should have been award a win on criteria as they had the highest scoring move in regulation.

My big problem is that they haven't called the edge stall like that all year. If they had, RBY probably works harder to circle in and it's not an issue. You can't selectively enforce a rule.
A stall call on RBY when he was working on top!?!? Has that been called once all tournament, except on RBY in the final - it was corrupt. The Angel ref - he seems to botch a lot of things, like a Russian Olympic ref

OK, I'm back. Need a quick shower. No wonder @jmadden1998 hangs out here!

PA? Really? Why didn’t we recruit him? And obligatory  just like Tom told me and done.

didn’t say anything about why didn’t we recruit him. 🤦‍♂️

Plus, I hate unc as much as I do Ohio State.

So in this caseI was hoping B1G over ACC.

SO STFU with your stupid BS.

Lots of guys are going to have a tough time watching the next two matches: Deakin, Hidlay, Marinelli, M. Lewis, and Anthony Valencia ... not to mention Berge.

IMO that should be called. But it literally hasn’t been called all weekend. Hell of a time to start enforcing it

the 2nd warning was total bullshit

I'm sure Tom Ryan will tweet out a still pic wondering how that's not a TD.

The people doing the video review at NCAAs are the best in the business. That certainly was close to a Sasso TD, but I'm sure they worked through the criteria to make their determination.
