I noticed Dieringer in the crowd during DT's medal ceremony, I'm guessing he was there as Amine's training partner maybe?
Edit: maybe

Good guess, I was wondering about that.I noticed Dieringer in the crowd during DT's medal ceremony, I'm guessing he was there as Amine's training partner maybe?
I think he got hit for it because he'd done it once before in the match, clearly attempting to avoid a step out, and was lucky to avoid getting hit for it. I'm not faulting DT for taking advantage of the rule rarely being called correctly, but it should be called more often. The push out however is not called with consistency. Guys will drop down last second and avoid a point. Taylor instead gets a caution and 1 for it. Not entirely wrong, just not consistent at all.
Yeah he's at Cliff Keen right now.Good guess, I was wondering about that.
Well that's a low bar. I've even given up on waxing my back!
Go over to Track and Field. Many of the distance runners come from East African countries but are now citizens/represent other countries including the US. The gold medalist in the men’s pole vault is from Lafayette, Louisiana but represented Sweden. The women’s 100 H gold medalist is from South Carolina but represented Puerto Rico. This happens all the time in all sports. You mean like current USA Olympic wrestler Ildar Hafizov? Previously represented Uzbekistan in the Olympics. No country is going to turn down a world class competitor, not even the USA. We probably have a few other imports in sports that we are not particularly strong at.
Perfect. This wasn’t what I was looking for but it’s way better for this purposes. Thanks so much.#197 David Taylor - Episode Notes
David Taylor, widely known as The Magic Man, is one of the most decorated American wrestlers of all time. David is a World Champion, US Champion, 2x NCAA Champion, a 4x NCAA All-American, 4x BIG 10 Champion, and he’s hoping to add Olympic Champion in the 2021 Olympics in Tokyo, Japan. 15:30 mark.
They should work on taking shots. It might be a start.
Not a good look for a journalist. Give Yaz a break. He just lost a heartbreaker for a gold medal at the Olympics. He demonstrated great sportsmanship on the mat, in front of the cameras in an agonizing loss. This comment reminds me of mother who is recording the kid her son just beat crying in the bleachers at a novice tournament.
Current high school blue chipper: “When I’m at PSU, do you suppose I might be invited to Paris like Carter Starocci and Aaron Brooks were invited to Tokyo? Where do I sign?”All other schools are at a huge disadvantage when recruiting against Cael. Now they see not only will his collegiate program help them reach their dreams but now they wont have to go anywhere else when it's time to fulfill those World and Olympic dreams. And they laughed all of us of their board (HR) several years back when we told them Cael was beginning to take on the second step of his plan and that was to not only have the best college program but to have the best club.
Hate for everyone else (not really) but it's now so easy to see why kids wrestle for less and PSU doesnt have to dish out big to full scholarships to its athletes.

Yazdani's tantrum was nothing like the one Flo threw when they lost Willie. Not a good look for a journalist. Give Yaz a break. He just lost a heartbreaker for a gold medal at the Olympics. ‘Ringer was probably like “I am kicking this guy’s arse in practice, yet he takes home a bronze”Good guess, I was wondering about that.
FloKaren gonna grill him on whether his number one ranking was actually Flo's intellectual property.Yazdani's tantrum was nothing like the one Flo threw when they lost Willie.
Adeline would look good in a potato sack.I was wondering who was the girl jumping up and down in the Jumper outfit in the stands. She was so excited for David's win.
The announcer said it was Adeline Gray. What great support. Someone has to get her some NLWC gear.
Edit: she looked good in her outfit.
10 years ago Dave Conaway told his son: "Get off the phone right now with Nebraska. Cael Sanderson is calling for you!'"As posted above, also congratulations to Jordan and to Aaron.
Screaming at his wrestler. He doesn't want to face a firing squad for a poor performanceAnyone else curious what the Iranian coach is constantly yelling about?
Thomas looks great right now. Up 5-0 after 3 minutes!!
I saw it was posted on an Olympic website that 125 kg final (Gable's match) will be 7:20 am Eastern time.Does anyone have an estimated time for Steveson’s match tomorrow morning?
Unfortunately Iran doesn't use the firing squad, they use hanging.Screaming at his wrestler. He doesn't want to face a firing squad for a poor performance
Dude thinks Taylor is inferior to Yazdani bc he’s an Iowa homer and hates Penn State wrestlingYazdani with 2 passivity points and a push out -- that is a great match?
DT with 2 takedowns and more shots -- the deserving winner!

Taylor said it in a later in a post-match interview -Absolutely love that with all of DTs technique, leverage, ankle picks, etc….. it was a goddamn blast double at the bell that got it done!
congrats David Tayler , Olympic Champion!
Mom, where was grandpa from again?‘Ringer was probably like “I am kicking this guy’s arse in practice, yet he takes home a bronze”
