Huh? They showed it on NBC (NBC has various Olympic sports on various channels.... the Dake match was the first match NBC showed on the Olympic Wrestling channel when coverage began at 10pm.).
That's interesting. I was watching the Olympic channel and Winchester was first.
A lot of history between these two. Both Dagestani and I believe they train together. Sadulaev probably idolized Sharifov coming up through the youth ranks.
The matches occurred at the same time. You could also watch Dake online while the Olympic TV channel showed Winchester.

Iran (Mohammadian) vs. Georgia (Odakadze). The Iranian is very good. I think he pinned Snyder if I'm not mistaken. But as the dance of chance would have it, the best guys are on the other side of Snyder's side of the bracket.
Odakadze is also very good. Has beaten Snyder, though Snyder got revenge.
Georgia leads 4-3 with less than a minute left. Wins 6-3. Gets Sadulaev in the quarterfinals.

Sudalaev looking pretty tough, controlled the whole match and looked pretty fresh at the end.

David Taylor gave up one takedown between the Olympic Trials and the Tokyo Games. The level of effort he has placed on defense was extremely apparent
i've had enough of this "4 medals in one session" talk. you can't claim steveson's (gold or silver) medal for session 10 and also claim taylor's gold medal. taylor had guaranteed a medal in session 8.

Gotta root for Tevanyan here. Team race is close, we have a legit chance to win, but no entry at 65.

I never would have envisioned Smith as being such an entertaining sports analyst. The guy is always so intense when he's coaching. Now he reminds me of Howard Cosell!

Still don't understand the scoring in the women's match Smith made those comments in regards to. The losing wrestler got screwed out of 4 exposure points.
