no way. I loved it. I wish would call stalling more immediately. If everyone knew that you run away, disengage from physical contact - you’re getting hit... that would make for more exciting end of matches.

These low singles are killing Kyle. Sadulaev is fantastic with the counter.
Those 2 “exposure” points is why folk style is superior to freestyle
Great effort for Kyle. Great Olympics. Sudalaev is just better but Kyle should keep his head up. He's a legend.
Legend has it when Sadulaev was born, the doctor turned to his mother and said “Congratulations, it’s a MAN!!!”
No shame there, Kyle gave it everything her had. He can hold his head high knowing that he’s the only wrestler to defeat the Tank since 2014. Two time Olympic medalist.

Tough match for Kyle. I think he knows he can beat him again and Im not 100% he thought that a year or so ago.
Yeah, I've never liked that part of freestyle. But dems da rules.
The Russian Tank is a friggin Tank. He didn't do much, he did a great job maintaining position and then countered Snyder twice with the same move.
Kyle acquitted himself very well. He doesn't have enough length to create the leverage to necessary to counter that chest wrap. He needed some lead in his shoes.

Hmmm seemed like the Russian didn’t do much but counter Snyder’s shots. So confusing to watch Olympic wrestling. Snyder just couldn’t avoid those exposure points.
Sadulaev never took a shot! Freestyle can be maddening some times
Well, he showed enormous strength in getting those two exposures off Kyle's shots .... I'd say that is something - the only wrestler in the world who could do that to Snyder
Soon back to folk style and complaining about stalling. Boy, if they could combine the two styles, we might have something.
That first passivity call could have easily (!) gone in Snyder's favor. It put Snyder in the hole and then all his offensive shots were countered until the final minute. Sadulaev didn't do any attacking the whole match. But, as noted, his counters were very high level and worked.
If only this was Big 10's with Nationals coming up, Cael would have a path to victory for KS.

for sure. I’m not saying Kyle got screwed or anything (although being put on the clock was ridiculous)
just saying that rule is terrible and makes it an inferior sport. It discourages action and offense IMO
I feel like I've made this comment a few dozen times but shooting in FS is not what determines passivity calls, it's about holding the center and engaging more. If there's no real action the guy who'll get hit with passivity is the guy who backed up more, regardless of whether that guy took a shot. Shots in FS don't count for much, unless you initiate a lot of action off those shots. Folk fans may disagree that that's how it should be, but that's definitely how it is, and it's called consistently.
