2024 NCAA's - Match/discussion threads (merged)

Huh? What? Not wrestling at B1Gs would make him more rusty and less conditioned - haven't a clue what point you’re trying to make. Not wrestling at B1Gs despite being healthy enough appears to have hurt his chances, not helped them. Had he wrestled at B1Gs, he would have been on the mat 2 weeks ago like everyone else - as it is, he hasn't been on the mat for a month which likely accounts for the rustiness and lack of conditioning.
I guess the fact he could have re-injured his leg ending his season and risking his career is irrelevant.

#9 C.Starocci DEC #8 A.Kemp 5-3

Starocci doesn't look like his dominant self. Hopefully, he's saving himself for the tougher rounds. No bonus, but that's another win!

After seeing Carter's first two matches, I'm glad the coaches didn't let him wrestle at Big Tens. Coach knows best!

Any chance Carter is pulling a rope-a-dope and comes out tomorrow without the brace?

Gene Wilder Somersault GIF

5 Seed Conigliaro in real danger of going 0-2. Kennedy up 12-2 on him in 2nd.

A few notes;

125: Ramos was the big winner. His path to the SFs now goes thru the 20 seed and then (likely) the 12th seed. (Instead of the 13 and the 5 seeds).

133: With the way Crookham struggled (4-3 vs 31), you prob feel pretty good if your facing him tomorrow morning after weigh-ins. Might see a run to the semifinals by Little Rock here.

141: Things fell Beau’s way with Matthews, Happel and Jamison all losing. He won’t face a sub 15 seed until the semifinals.

174: Griffith was the big winner; his path to the semifinals is the 13 seed followed by the winner of the 21 and 28 seeds.

184: Keckeisen the beneficiary as he’ll see the 17 seed followed by the winner of the 24 and 25 seeds to get to the SFs. Salazar vs Rogotzke tonight might be interesting.

Criminal what the NCAA did with the 1 & 2 seeds relative to Starocci - just absurd as the 1st RD unequivocally proved.
