No way Mitch is going to a non-Olympic weight. He's a 74kg guy.
NoI am NOT predicting this, neither am I suggesting this, BUT, do you guys think maybe Mitch and Levi switch weights next season? I realize it's very rare for any of our guys to go down a weight, but I am wondering if Mitchell and Levi do a switch next season that sets them up for future freestyle strategies?
Feel free to weigh in...
I don’t see how , in person Levi just looks full sized 174 and bigger than Mitch. Even if they wanted to I don’t see how Levi makes that cut.I am NOT predicting this, neither am I suggesting this, BUT, do you guys think maybe Mitch and Levi switch weights next season? I could see him going 174 next year after Levi graduates, partly because of the Kasak/Duke logjam but also because he seems to not cut much for 165 which makes him a small 74kg internationally. It could benefit him to wrestle 174 as his walk around (especially because he will beat everyone at that weight anyway) so he is a more filled out 74kg. A lot of those international guys are massive for that weight class and will make MM look smallNo way Mitch is going to a non-Olympic weight. He's a 74kg guy.

Thought Gibson was done? All this talk of lineup… what’s the roster? Tops out at 30 now…
125: Lilledahl, Desmond
133 Davis, Nagao, Nasdeo, Garcia, Shindledecker
141: Blaze, Ono, Cunningham, Weiss
149: Van Ness, Pierce, Rodriguez, Perry
157: Kasak, Watson, Duke
165: Mesenbrink, Sealey, Cunningham
174: Haines, Gibson, Borden
184: Ryder, Welsh
197: Barr, Mirasola, Cochran, Henckel
285: Mirasola, Bundy
I count 32 there and I might be missing a couple. I didn’t include guys in the portal.
I don’t know. That would take it to 31.Thought Gibson was done?
He has 3 yrs left.Thought Gibson was done?
Cochran is done (got introduced on senior day), he didn't portal either so I think he's just moving on with life. All this talk of lineup… what’s the roster? Tops out at 30 now…

Heck of a wrestler.Cochran is done (got introduced on senior day), he didn't portal either so I think he's just moving on with life.
Wouldn't be shocked if he changed his mind later (coaches will contact him) He beat an AA heavyweight and was very close in his wrestleoff with Barr (Josh got a 7 point throw) Since he was the initial starter for PSU against Drexel, some rumblings he won the "in house" wrestleoff as well. He also made the U23 86 Finals (before getting hurt)Heck of a wrestler.
No. Levi will put a few more pounds on and Mitch will stay. Come 2028 Mitch will be competing for the 74 kg (163 pound) spot and Levi the 86 kg (190) spot. I expect them to compete at a weight that fits that long term goal.I am NOT predicting this, neither am I suggesting this, BUT, do you guys think maybe Mitch and Levi switch weights next season? someone on the board said he is staying at PSU (Smeal) for Grad School but is done with wrestling. I could see him being convinced to do some NLWC stuff but also when its time its timeWouldn't be shocked if he changed his mind later (coaches will contact him) He beat an AA heavyweight and was very close in his wrestleoff with Barr (Josh got a 7 point throw) Since he was the initial starter for PSU against Drexel, some rumblings he won the "in house" wrestleoff as well. he was off and on all season the reason no one knows I am sure the DR checked him out really good and kept an eye on him!And yet pretty much everyone on here said he didnt look quite right..at multiple times down the stretch. Obviously he looked completely normal has last number of matches and the PSU coaches and training staff would know best. That said, once you have a couple concussions they can happen easier going forward without a long period of rest. Look at Tua Tagovailoa. I was just wondering if long term it makes more sense
Ono will start at 133 and Blaze will be at 141 no shirt he was beating college kids 2 yrs ago!He is ready![]()
Heavyweight?

Good list of guys, and they all contributed in one way or another and I'm grateful to them for that. But it looks quite obvious who might have to leave at certain weights. It's a shame we are so deep at almost every weight, but so thin at 285.All this talk of lineup… what’s the roster? Tops out at 30 now…

They are both one injury away. Why doesn't anyone seem to understand this?feel bad for Davis and Nagao but they know what they signed up for if they stay cool but if they go good luck to them

We get worked up. It's just what we do. We can speculate all we want, but it isn't important until next fall. As we get there and things begin to take shape we will begin to see what's what. At least up to a point. No sense in getting too worked up. For all we know before next season starts Cael will have invited Dan Gable to wrestle 141 and Wade Schalles 174 so both could get that year the NCAA rules stole from them. They are both one injury away. Why doesn't anyone seem to understand this?
So you expect AA caliber kids to sit around hoping for an injury to be able to start when there are many other top programs for which they could walk in and start right away and compete at nationals? That's crazy, and that's what I don't understand. They are both one injury away. Why doesn't anyone seem to understand this?
Barr going 184 creates its own set of potential issues with Welsh coming in. I'm sure many are getting more popcorn ready.Zach on the Locked On podcast thinks there’s a chance Josh Barr is looking to go 184…his point was that Ryder may be leaving because it’s a 3 person race for 184 between Josh, Rocco and Zach.
Guessing it’s pure speculation on his part
