Any update on Nolf??? Anyone with insider info?

Can you imagine if he has first round bye and he wrestles 2 matches into the finals and they try to tell him to MFF the finals? They would never get him out of their ears.

I can already see the 15 page thread on HR throwing Cael under the bus for holding a wrestler back from a potential B1G championship

It's interesting that the #1 seed at 157 is up in the air. It could be that stating in advance that Nolf is going could influence the decision on the #1 seed. As I posted elsewhere, if the plan is for Nolf to Mfft prior to the finals, I would prefer Kemerer to get the #1 seed, and thereby get M Jordan in the semis. Can you imagine the stress of Nolf in the semis vs M Jordan and having to Mfft?

Putting this into a longer time-frame...I was at the Rutgers Dual, and my heart sank when we saw Jason limping. Not for the fans, or the team (well, a little bit for the team :)), but sadness for Jason knowing his wrestling goal is another championship. Fast-forward, and the hopes are much, much higher. Regardless of what's been said publicly by coach, it sure is a good feeling that Jason's able to go...

I thought this was about Nolf, not NS. I'm over the NS situation.

Hopefully Nolf can wrestle but I understand why he would be held out as well. Bigger fish to fry in a couple weeks in Cleveland.

My response was to somebody who was responding to the NS situation, I believe.

Here is how HR will spin it.

Scenario numero uno: Jason injury defaults out of the first match and then MFF the second. Cael is a dishonest liar who ruined the seeding for the B1G tournament. The rules need to be changed so Carl can't do this anymore. Cael should be reprimanded by the B1G.

Scenario two: Jason wrestles two matches and then MFF out. Carl is terrible for ruining Jason's chances at a B1G title. Jason was robbed by Carl and should transfer out of PSU. Carl should be reprimanded by the B1G.

Scenario three: Jason wrestles and wins a B1G title. Carl is despicable and doesn't care about the health of his guys. He forced Jason to risk injury so he could win a B1G title. He should be reprimanded by the B1G.

There isn't a single scenario that HR would be OK with. Carl will always be a dishonest, cheating liar no matter what he does.

The biggest question that has me nervous is when does Goodale and Pritzloff start calling about full rides?

The more I see, hear, read and feel. I think Nolf wrestles 2 matches max then defaults out. It will help protect his seed at Nationals a little, give the team some points, while getting him some competitive mat time, but not prematurely stressing his knee against stud competition. Nationals is the real prize, and Cael is conservative on these things.

I am totally good with this approach.

All true and if they could replace Brands with Cael they would do it in a minute.

If he wins he can only wrestle 3.

It would be 4 to win the championship (he didn't get a bye).
Yes, I see that now. Made mistake thinking 157 was seeded to 14 (as the fake brackets showed lol, was too lazy to search for how many B10 qualified at 157), and he would have 1st round bye

I’m drunk

Hopefully Jason is good to go and Cael got the boys ready.

Hope they keep their health.
