anybody listening to the UFO hearings today?

I've never been a believer as I just can't imagine the technology it would take to overcome physical challenges. But some of the best minds to ever live, Einstein included, thought it was not only possible but probable at some point in the future.

The know nothings and fearful detractors are out strong in this thread.

Anyone following the drone stories in Pennsylvania and New Jersey? These things are the size of cars, can travel at great speeds, and travel at very high altitude, certainly not civilian grade.

Because we know everything there is to know about the universe? The James Webb telescope is finding things on a weekly basis that is confounding scientists.
Has it found any UFOs? Any life out there? It is live streaming too. Seems odd. Would not surprise me if there is life out there in the vastness and variety of the universe but these videos look a little too AI for me.

How many times do I have to repeat this"? THEY CAN'T GET HERE FROM THERE!

^^^^
Opinion that not only projects to know what is possible holding to Einstein's theories, but then goes on to assume that there is nothing to know about physics beyond what had already been theorized.

Even Einstein would have recognized that his theories were just an expression of human understanding at a point in time.

Imagine Einstein telling humanity to stop thinking because he's "got it" and nothing more could ever be learned. This is the logical fallout of your rather shortsighted opinion.

There is the odd possibility that all of the UFO video/radar evidence to date has been fabricated, that all of the eyewitnesses were delusional, and all of these military whistleblowers have been part of a broad conspiracy to alarm the public.

Then there is the odd possibility that the Webb telescope operators haven't released everything to the public.

I brought up the Webb telescope discoveries to point out that the "physics" that we know RIGHT NOW cannot explain these discoveries. So when someone says that noone/nothing can get here from there, as an absolute, that's just and incredibly hubristic statement.

In the land of any theatrical stunt for attention and therefore money. Yes!

Maybe you can't change them, but neither you nor Einstein can actually prove to know them.

It's amazing to me how some people think that we have our physical world all figured out. I suggest they take some time to look into quantum mechanics; there are things going on that Einstein and all the other top physicists can't explain and puts into question what actually is reality.

For example when it comes to the the speed of light, scientist have determined that particles can influence each other simultaneously over vast distances i.e. many light years - see "spooky action at a distance" thus negating the cosmic speed limit. It is also accepted that objects can be in two places at the same time.

Until we can unify the bizarre quantum world with general/special relativity and the fundamental forces that we do understand, we are missing a lot of the picture which means there may be incredible possibilities for advancement in technology if/when we do figure it out.

Yes…from reports, there have been as many as 180 of them, some the size of a bus flying over Jersey since November 18. Nobody knows what they are. The obvious question is…why the f**k haven’t we been shooting these things down?

Because we can't? At least that seems a possibility but who knows.

I posted this video compilation of the phenomena on the other board. Pretty weird stuff:

Exactly......issue a warning to clear all air space of these things, and if they don't clear, then shoot them down! Whatever they are we shouldn't tolerate this nonsense. If one of our adversaries has some edge we don't know about and we don't have the capability to take them down then we are in trouble. And based on the way Biden handled the Chinese spy balloon debacle, don't count on it. Weak!

There are drone reports from all over the Lehigh Valley this evening. A friend of mine who is a respected community leader and business owner just posted a video of one that looks exactly like the many videos coming from NJ residents.

There are reports from Maryland and Connecticut as well though New Jersey seems to be the center of the activity.

Last night Andy Kim, the U.S. Senator-Elect from New Jersey, went out to do some investigating of his own and filed a very interesting Twitter thread, complete with videos, on the phenomenon:

Interesting that they chased them with helicopters but they turn their lights off. I wondered why they hadn't been chased down. So my second guess is that they don't show up on radar (too small, the way they are designed or whatever). The Feds said, yesterday, that they are commercially licensed and not a problem. So why turn your lights off when approached? Seems to me to be a simple fix: require running lights at all times. And if they turn them off, shoot them down for violating the law.

I was outside my house last evening after social media was blowing up. I saw blinking lights about a 2 miles away. They certainly could have been small planes, I could not tell. They were not commercial aircraft they were too low, and I know the exact flight path of planes landing at LV airport. I see them all the time from my house and it was not that.

A helicopter did haul ass pretty low over my house a few minutes later. It was on a mission.

I wouldn't doubt that this is some kind of game by the DOD to make us feel less secure. Their budget, after all, is on the chopping stump. Have to protect the overhead on toilet seats so that they can cover all of the black ops.

We regret to inform you that the aliens were planning to come to Earth, but then they monitored these boards and determined that the intelligent life was far outnumbered by the conspiracy crazies, so they wrote us off and moved on to the next planet.

Where are all the survival yahoos who are going to defend us from tyranny? Why aren't they shooting these bad boys down?

We have no idea what dark energy is. Or dark matter. Perhaps ‘some one, some thing out there’ figured it out?🤷🏿‍♂️

You may be correct on this, but why the hell are they piloting one of these things due west of the City of Lancaster over what I would guess to be farmland/rural land and roughly 170 miles or more from the coast? My neighbor has been telling me for weeks that one of these things has been hovering fairly low in the western sky each night. I saw what she was talking about but didn't look closely and I didn't believe her, however I took a closer look tonight and I think she is correct. It's not a plane....it doesn't move much. It doesn't emanate a white light like a star or planet, but multi-color lights (blue/white/red) as best as I could tell. We get plenty of planes and helicopters flying over us, and this is different for sure.

First, if we are to believe Admiral John Kirby, they don't know what these things are or he says many of the sightings are just planes or helicopters (no this one isn't either of those!). That means we either don't have the capability to discern what they are or the ability to take them out if they are from an adversary. That is very concerning. And if he is lying to the American people that just sucks. He doesn't have to tell us exactly what they are or what their mission is, but he could level with us and admit it is a top secret military test. Either way, it further undermines my confidence in this administration, if that could get any lower. After all they let a goofy Chinese spy balloon float over sensitive areas with no response until it completed its mission. A weak, feckless response any way you slice it.

It’s classified

People are now shooting at the drones. Highly illegal but surprised it so long before this started.

Good - keep shooting! They won't take one down, but I hope they heavily damage one of these very expensive "classified" government UAV's. If they are lying to us citizens and aren't doing a damned thing to stop it or explain it, keep shooting!
