I effing love it. I texted my father earlier saying I hoped they had the balls to move up and take him in front of the Bengals. Perfect player for need.
Yeah, they gave up a 2nd and a 3rd next year. Anyone remember the 3rd rounder the Steelers gave up to trade up and get Troy Polamalu? No? Julian Battle. I rest my case.
There are few players I continue to regret PSU not landing more than Christian Wilkins. Great player, great person, we thought we had him and could have made such an impact these past few years.
It seems like a great fit, but I still just don't get Haskins. I guess I didn't see enough OSU. He has extremely nice touch, but I've never seen the laser beam throws with accuracy needed at the next level. The stats are huge though, so I'm sure I'm just wrong.
Watching the draft really sums up the NFL's problems. Every other pick is "ok, so here's the story on this guy...he got into ____ altercation/was suspended for _____/had to transfer because of ____." You just dont see this during the NHL, MLB or NBA drafts. It's kind of rough to watch and think "I'm happy about this person becoming a millionaire because of my interest."
That sounded familiar to me but I couldn't think of where I saw it. But finally I did. It's from the movie "Spinal Tap." Great movie.
