But we're number four in SI's rankings and SB Nation's rankings, so it would not surprise me if we were number four in the AP poll.

I commented to my watch crew yesterday after the Oklahoma score went final that it wouldn’t surprise me to see the writers slide UGA into their spot.
SEC SEC SEC

And so this morning, I’m seeing the 2 SEC teams in playoff, best conference, etc...

It’s too predictable.

Edit: #3 in AP but only 43 points ahead of UGA. Expect the bye week to be taken as a loss in next Sunday’s poll.

GA will have to Play Alabama in SEC Championship. Only one in the final four.

I understand that. We understand that. I’m merely pointing out that the lobbying by the talking heads, even with the situation you mention, can be seen coming a mile away.

And even with the fact that they all know the SEC is down and may be the weakest conference.

Georgia has a ways to go before being anointed as a playoff lock. Auburn is no gimme, Kentucky will probably be a tough out and should come into the game with no more than 2 losses (could show up with just 1), and a date with Bama for the conference title.

SEC is not down as of right now. Auburn gave Clemson a tough game. Bama is Bama, and Georgia is stout. ACC is probably the most down conference because of the Seminoles hype and here they sit 1-3. Miami doesn't appear to be world beaters yet, and all the 1 loss teams are still suspicious (VaTech got smacked by Clemson, UVA didn't threaten Indiana, and NC State lost close to the Gamecocks, who seem destined for 6-6).

Interesting, to me:

OU dropped to 12, UM to 16, and MSU is now ranked 22. 5 B1G teams in the top 25.

If somehow both Alabama and UGA were to make it to their championship game unbeaten, I would be quite confident that BOTH would make it into the final 4 UNLESS Clemson, PSU, and Washington all finish 13-0.

Precedent was set last year: The best 4 won-loss records will make it to the playoff. If Georgia has one loss after they play Alabama, they will not overtake four unbeaten teams.

Week 7 coming up, halfway point, lots of football to be played. One game at a time.

It's just ridiculous that two teams can play a game right before the playoff, and possibly play again in the playoff. Both of those teams will have a chance, win and your in.

Mine.

1. Clemson
2. Alabama
3. Georgia
4. Penn State
5. TCU
6. Washington
7. Auburn
8. Washington State
9. Notre Dame
10. Ohio State

There will not be four undefeated teams. There are rarely two undefeated teams.
