AS THE BIRD TURNS (IOWA STUFF)

Over 4 years, not 12 years. They only examined 4 years for the report, so I think the real answer is the 20%.
So for sure, it's 16.8% in the four years Iowa didn't win NCAAs. I can read it that way. So the NCAA agreed to limit the sanctions, as proposed, to the totals only in the last 4 years of the scheme.

Anyone understand why the report states "The conference and its involved members submitted a [Page 3] supplemental report detailing the overawards in the 1987_88 and 1988_89 academic years, as well as in the 1989_90 and 1990_91 academic years, plus any information regarding overawards in any year for teams involved in NCAA championships"?

Any links to this supplemental report (since every season Iowa wrestling participated in the championship)?

What reason did the NCAA have to state it agreed with the B10 proposed sanctions "because of a lack of intent on the part of the individual institutions to violate NCAA regulations or to gain a competitive advantage"?

Do I have to put you on ignore?

No idea. Didn't know they had a kitchen actually. The Potter County Pub right up the street is good though.
Yeah. Check them out. It's a B&B. They have hunting and fishing stay over specials that include lodging and meals. Prices seem pretty reasonable.

Right total over the period of infractions of 12 years to be lost over the future 4 years. You and I agree.

So with 11 allowable scholarships over those 12 years, on average how many more in a given year?

No where near 67% or 20%, correct?

Closer to 5.6%, right?

Through more in state wrestlers, right?

I know exactly where it is. I just haven't had a reason to go in. We have camps up there already and I'm self sufficient for fly fishing. I have heard from others that the owners are pretty nice amd it's a good place to stay.

I stay back home on the Loyalsock, above Shunk, but damn, 300 bucks for three to four days including meals is pretty awesome in God's country. They also have a smoked prime rib.

So was it a 2.0 or 7.39 meteor that killed the dinosaurs?
It was those damned little rodent/mammals. Live births....whooda thunk? Hundreds of them couldn't hurt a Tyrannosaurus but one of them could eat their entire nest of eggs. So sad......I always wanted to ride one :)

To all who stuck through without putting me on ignore 😉,

Thanks to all who helped me obtain a fuller and more accurate understanding of the B10 overawarding scholarship scheme. I know it wasn't anyone's job. Much appreciated.

Sorry, wherever I offended anybody's sensibilities, or led them to check this thread more often than they would've liked.

Lastly, I did my best to edit my prior posts to correct the record / eliminate any disinformation I posted.

Yep right there in Ladona. The West End is a fairly new place. Believe it or not I lived in that exact same spot. Back in the 70's that spot was Kelly's Tavern and we lived right behind it. When the Tavern burned down a Realty company built that building, It has been a few businesses over the years. One of the best native trout streams no one really know about runs right behind the West End called Mill Creek. It doesn't run long and is very tight, it dumps in into the Allegany right in town. Caught tons on McMurry ants in the summers. Try the Crittenden sometime.
We stayed at the Crittendon when we went to Coudersport. Good food too, psu lost to OSU that night, 2018.
We went to see the dark skies at that state park near the town.

I had some things wrong too. All good.

I went to Cherry Springs once. Damn impressive how many stars you can see. I need to check it out during the day to get an idea of what all is up there.

I saw that there was a fire at the hotel Crittendon. I'm bummed.

The big money guy @bnicolls at it again. Does the Iowa administration know who they are in bed with? In the Truax thread,

"Let's make no mistake here. Carl and Uncle Ira used this playbook, modified, to give dark money to PSU wrestlers up till NIL made it legal. There's no debate on that, as it's been admitted by the Unc.

Level playing field again though"

At some point, we just have to accept that HR is essentially a self-reinforcing bubble/echo-chamber, not unlike a lot of partisan political media***. It's the same "repeated accusation is all that really matters" thing.

Few outside opinions. Very little specifics. Indignation or incredulity over anything resembling verification or facts. Portraying themselves as the put-upon victims of an evil conspirator. Anything that refutes the accusation is labeled as trolling or simply ignored.

***I'm not interested in anyone's opinion on who or what is "worse", the use of this playbook is truly bipartisan.

That would be Cherry Springs. When we moved into Sweden Valley we went there s good bit. My gal at the time worked the at the Ice mine. Prouty park is small but also nice.

My bro who lives in Tucson sent me an article that said NASA identified a dead spot in the north east. It was Cherry Springs. Apparently it has the least amount of man made light on the east coast. You are encouraged to put red cellophane on flashlights and change your phone to a red screen.

I think Ira needs to cultivate new friends if he’s still hanging out with Racist Bob. If money is all you have in common, you’ll be hanging out with a lot of sociopaths.

“Behind every great fortune is a great crime”
I don't know Bob's background but he sure comes off like a guy that inherited his money instead of earning it.
