Agreed--Penn State still gets credit for scheduling them but Auburn's not very good
They look awful but ya gotta root for them to win this game. Better for us.

I expect to beat Auburn--easily
Again, the wins I'm not expecting are Michigan and Ohio State
Win the rest I'm content (if you count that as happy cool) and if we don't then it's time for Franklin to go at this point of his tenure

Purdue was a passing team so PSU could play with an extra DB. Ohio is a smaller MAC team. Auburn will be the first game where we'll have to depend on our LBs to stop a power run.

Auburn’s recruiting rankings have basically been the same as PSU from 2018 to 2022. So their talent level is on par with ours. So logically anyone who thinks Franklin is a terrible coach should not expect to beat Auburn. So the only reasons to say that is idiocy, intellectual dishonesty, or most likely to set up a can’t lose situation if PSU wins or loses.

He’s a troll and he’s using a classic troll technique…claim PSU should blow the other team out, then if they do, he will say it’s because the other team isn’t good and if they lose or it’s a close game, then he can say the coach should go. It’s tiresome.

No, I see trolling as downplaying every win, downgrading upcoming opponents to lessen any win, and only giving backhanded compliments when you give any compliment, which is rare. And there’s a difference between blindly supporting a team and supporting a team, which you do neither.

Tell me your scouting report on Auburn. What makes them a good team? Remember Harsin replaced Malzahn before last season so you don't hurt your head figuring out anything about them

Been a PSU fan since I attended my first game in 1966. God willing, I'll still be one for a few more years.
By then, perhaps you'll learn how to keep some perspective about the limitations of being a fan.

Depends on the program--different programs have different goals
For example, Pat Fitzgerald, Kirk Ferentz and Troy Calhoun all have done an amazing job
We have higher goals (or should) than 11-11 (8-10) the past 2 seasons in the Big Ten during a coach's 7th and 8th season
This isn't complicated. Why do you believe I shouldn't have an issue with our lack of success? We aren't Northwestern

So no one we would ever get. And Day wouldn’t count because he’s never won the NC and that’s the only acceptable accomplishment apparently.

Patty Fitz hangs around 500 and occasionally make a run at a division title and he's basically God there because it's nearly impossible. Franklin has no limitations working here as evident by the recruiting rankings--he just can't develop
Who's a better coach--Fitzgerald or Franklin? In your opinion...
