Agreed--Penn State still gets credit for scheduling them but Auburn's not very goodNot impressive at all. On either side.
Guess you won't be happy if we win then.Agreed--Penn State still gets credit for scheduling them but Auburn's not very good
I expect to beat Auburn--easilyGuess you won't be happy if we win then.
Franklin isn't going anywhere after this season unless he leaves on his own.I expect to beat Auburn--easily
Again, the wins I'm not expecting are Michigan and Ohio State
Win the rest I'm content (if you count that as happy cool) and if we don't then it's time for Franklin to go at this point of his tenure
Then expect to remain irrelevantFranklin isn't going anywhere after this season unless he leaves on his own.
Ya think?10 more years. Let 70 million guaranteed sink in.......Franklin isn't going anywhere.
What fool thinks all the blue chip freshman we saw today would stay for the love of Dear old State if he left?
God there are some really slow thinking people posting here.

Harsin is worse than FranklinAuburn’s recruiting rankings have basically been the same as PSU from 2018 to 2022. So their talent level is on par with ours. So logically anyone who thinks Franklin is a terrible coach should not expect to beat Auburn. So the only reasons to say that is idiocy, intellectual dishonesty, or most likely to set up a can’t lose situation if PSU wins or loses.
I knew that was coming. You as predictable as the sun coming up.Harsin is worse than Franklin
Have you watched any of the game tonight against SJSU?
Okay--you knew it was coming because it's accurate...I knew that was coming. You as predictable as the sun coming up.
He’s a troll and he’s using a classic troll technique…claim PSU should blow the other team out, then if they do, he will say it’s because the other team isn’t good and if they lose or it’s a close game, then he can say the coach should go. It’s tiresome.Auburn’s recruiting rankings have basically been the same as PSU from 2018 to 2022. So their talent level is on par with ours. 70 million reasons Franklin stays. I'm beginning to feel sorry for you.Notre Dame is proof of what happens when you keep a coach to avoid losing players
Players can be replaced--see the portal--coaches are key
What are you talking about? He’s a troll and he’s using a classic troll technique…claim PSU should blow the other team out, then if they do, he will say it’s because the other team isn’t good and if they lose or it’s a close game, then he can say the coach should go. It’s tiresome.
Yes, Franklin is going to stay. I fully understand that. Are you happy about the fact that regardless of our record this year he'll be back?70 million reasons Franklin stays. I'm beginning to feel sorry for you.
YesYes, Franklin is going to stay. I fully understand that. Are you happy about the fact that regardless of our record this year he'll be back?
This reply literally has nothing to do with what I said
Why? Say we go 7-5--why are you happy that Franklin is coming back?
Right off the top of my head? Because it irks you. Why? Say we go 7-5--why are you happy that Franklin is coming back?
No, I see trolling as downplaying every win, downgrading upcoming opponents to lessen any win, and only giving backhanded compliments when you give any compliment, which is rare. And there’s a difference between blindly supporting a team and supporting a team, which you do neither. What are you talking about?
I said Penn State did exactly what they should have today--I did nothing but praise Franklin for today's game. He handled things perfectly
Are you happy with the results the past 2 seasons? I don't understand how trolling is demanding better than what we've gotten
Basically you see trolling as someone that doesn't blindly support the team (aka agree with you)
Cool so you don't care about the success of the program on the field--coolRight off the top of my head? Because it irks you.
Of course it was obvious. It was your only out for your idiotic comments about Auburn.Okay--you knew it was coming because it's accurate...
It's disappointing I have to point out the obvious to you but might as well
We've won 2 games against Ohio (not State) and Purdue. What do you want me to celebrate? No, I see trolling as downplaying every win, downgrading upcoming opponents to lessen any win, and only giving backhanded compliments when you give any compliment, which is rare. Tell me your scouting report on Auburn. What makes them a good team? Remember Harsin replaced Malzahn before last season so you don't hurt your head figuring out anything about themOf course it was obvious. It was your only out for your idiotic comments about Auburn.
So what coaches in college football live up to your expectations?Cool so you don't care about the success of the program on the field--cool
What does a scouting report on Auburn have to do with your lack of logic. Troll somewhere else. Good bye.Tell me your scouting report on Auburn. What makes them a good team? Remember Harsin replaced Malzahn before last season so you don't hurt your head figuring out anything about them
Been a PSU fan since I attended my first game in 1966. God willing, I'll still be one for a few more years.Cool so you don't care about the success of the program on the field--cool
Saban, Day, Smart, Sweeney, ....So what coaches in college football live up to your expectations?
And all of them are waiting in the wings.....Saban, Day, Smart, Sweeney, ....
Depends on the program--different programs have different goalsSo what coaches in college football live up to your expectations?
I'm not the one with "angst"--if we lose I literally just watch the next game fully comprehending that as long as Franklin is here we're likely going to underachieve. You and others still live under the believe that it's the 80s and college football is about bowl games and players graduating. Time change--you adapt. Or apparently don't yet get mad that others are able toBeen a PSU fan since I attended my first game in 1966. God willing, I'll still be one for a few more years.
By then, perhaps you'll learn how to keep some perspective about the limitations of being a fan.
Here's a hint, if you don't enjoy the ride, get off the wagon. Because despite all your angst....you will never drive it.
And did Northwestern win 42 games in four years? I think you elevate our program a bit too high, like to a level we haven’t been at since the 80’s.Depends on the program--different programs have different goals
For example, Pat Fitzgerald, Kirk Ferentz and Troy Calhoun all have done an amazing job
We have higher goals (or should) than 11-11 (8-10) the past 2 seasons in the Big Ten during a coach's 7th and 8th season
This isn't complicated. Why do you believe I shouldn't have an issue with our lack of success? We aren't Northwestern
So no one we would ever get. And Day wouldn’t count because he’s never won the NC and that’s the only acceptable accomplishment apparently.Saban, Day, Smart, Sweeney, ....
Northwestern isn't supposed to win 42 games in 4 years. That's the point. And did Northwestern win 42 games in four years? I think you elevate our program a bit too high, like to a level we haven’t been at since the 80’s.
