Bill Farrell

Mark loses to Kenchadze 8-5 in the first round. Brutal draw.

Jason with light work in his first 2 bouts (1:55 TF and :30 Fall)--Quincy Monday next. I Will say Jason's 1st round competetor from Canada at least tried to score points on Jason, which was fun to see.

Joe Sealy with 2 similar results, has Marinelli next.

After 1, Nico up 3-0 on Deshazer, who seemed very happy to get Nico's hands off him at the end of the period. Nico wins 3-0. Brandon Courtney next.

Luke is down 4-1 to Delaney after 1. I saw a chest lock for 2, but missed the other scoring. Luke hits some backflip type action from waterfall position for a few exposures and is up 9-4. Wins it 11-4, Spencer next....

Nolf up vs. Monday.
  • Lots of action, no scoring. Monday's quickness defensively is keeping him in it, but goes on the clock w/ 1 minute left. Up 1-0 after one, but Jason gets dinged for passivity at the end.
  • 2:30 Monday gets the low single and converts up 2-1. 1:50 Jason finally gets a leg and converts, then gets a couple guts up 7-2. 10 sec left Monday gets another leg and converts 7-4, and then again at the buzzer, so it ends 7-6 Jason.
Tough match!

jason looks not to be in top shape!

Sealy vs Bull
  • Lots of hand fighting, head pulling, etc.. Sealy goes on the clock and gives up a couple of step outs. Sealy hits a double late! and it's 3-2 Marinelli after 1.
  • Series of scores, 2 for Sealy on a double, then AMar w/ 2 on exposure, then Sealy with a gut, AMar leads it then gets a double for 2, and another shot,--Sealy getting tired down 9-6 late. Another go-behind for Marinelli and it ends 11-6
Not bad for a U20 vs a Masters level.

Marinelli won a quarterfinals match. (Vs. a high school kid.)

Don’t forget it’s +2KG, imagine Marinelli has a solid bit of weight on him in addition to being a grown man

Connor shot and Wick was close to coming around after the shot, but then Connor stepped over and took him to his back. Not sure exactly how

Spencer’s ceiling will be determined by whether he still has the same movement ability to score on his feet because he’s one of the best par terre wrestlers in the world.

He’s failed to turn only 1 opponent in his senior career and he was pretty clearly not healthy during that match.
