Our young guys are showing out. Sealeys match with Marinelli was pretty impressive especially considering Marinelli beat Berger in the semis. Mirasola beating Wick is huge and then only losing to Ringer 9-3. Luke isn’t at Spencers level but I don’t think anyone here expected that he was. Still made the semis and should have a good match for 3rd. Bigger Mirasola gave Honis a good match as well. Really impressive showings for the high school kids.
Freshman at Arizona State. IIRC he placed at JR trials. Father was a national champ for Sparky.
super excited for this. besides the FR connection, two guys who’ve overcome a ton of injuries the last few years.
What does everyone think about the Mirasola twins? The smaller one seems like the better of the two. They both compete hard and take on as much competition as they can.
Trying to come up with a comparison to some of PSU wrestlers and can’t find comparables. They don’t seem to have anything “special.” Just good solid kids that I feel will continue to improve

Lilledahl with a nice win over Deshazer. Deshazer has been pretty good in freestyle over the years. Sealey loses 4-1 to Jacques who also beat Kemdog. Mark Hall beats Connor Mirasola 4-1. Lilledahl is in the final of the 4 man to see who qualifies for an Olympic trials spot.
Not taking anything from Spencer, but Spencer is 25, Luke is 17. A grown men with tons of experience against a HS Sr. Luke is going to be a greatness.
Nothing flashy but they are tough hard nosed kids who compete their asses off. Connor beating Wick and going 4-1 with Mark Hall is damn impressive. Cole had a few good wins today as well. Just got teched by Aiello but I love that they showed up here and competed
I think you are correct. The top U.S. place winner (in the top four) in each weight who has not already qualified will advance to the Challenge Tournament of the Olympic Trials. Not sure why they wrestle this Mimi 4 man bracket then?
Does anyone know if Spencer is going to show up for the finals ?
I wouldn't be surprised down to road to hear of Cael recruiting other HWT options or a HWT transfer coming in.
Correa visited PSU the same weekend as Duke. So Cael is still looking at HWTs.
(Correa has also been to Purdue, Illinois, and Michigan at least.)

Your first sentence reminds me of Nick Lee. A lot of people took him lightly early in his career
Connor (the smaller twin) is considered the somewhat better prospect, as indicated in the PFP rankings. Neither is real flashy, but both are tough and have pretty high attack rates. Cole, the larger twin, will have to grow into a heavy, but we've seen more and more of this approach over the last several years.
Nico was sooo close on some of those attacks. Loses 7-4. Props to Spencer’s D there, he’s so freakin strong.
Lee 7-4. Nico in on legs a lot. Somebody forgot to tell Nico he didn't have a chance (or maybe they did tell him!).
Nolf TFs Marinelli and Kemerer back to back, nice.
Bull held center very well and head snapped great.
He had 2 TDs. First was a sweet ankle pick. IIRC, the second was a double leg straight to back points.
