Breaking from Pennlive Curley and Shultz plead guilty.

Carter was not proven innocent and was never cleared. Appeals courts stated he was not given a fair trail. Prosecutors decided not to retry the case a third time. 22 years after the first trial. Witnesses had passed away.
All three are most likely guilty as h*ll. I say most likely because I didn't sit on any of their juries.
Well, that was probably already settled by the lawyers. Its is probably a provision in the plea agreement. If not, C&S lawyers screwed up.
Sure they did. That still doesn't take away from today. We now must all live with this. They admitted guilt. Its reality. We simply cannot walk away from this. 2 men admitted guilt and did not do enough to stop JS. Its that cut and dry.

Okay. "Boundary issues" would normally not be criminal. There would be no reason to prosecute if it some noncriminal boundary issues.

You may be right for now (the media is already misreporting on this) but for all we know there are other shoes yet to drop from the other side. Maybe the state tried really hard to get Spanier to plead out so they could put this disaster of a case behind them but he refused bc he wants to take his chances with the jury (since he has a federal investigation clearing him) and expose the malicious prosecution by the state and possibly the real enablers of JS (TSM and CYS)? I still believe the state wants nothing to do with this going to trial. Well see if Spanier sticks to his guns or not.
If this goes to trial and Spanier is found not guilty would you still think its all doom and gloom?
There's also the alum review of freeh report and a few other lawsuits (Paterno vs NCAA) floating around that may turn the tide (if the media ever reports on them) once adjudicated.

An entire Penn State family stood behind them for 5 damn years. Don't give me no panty BS.
It kills Penn State? 95% of the public has assumed they all were guilty anyway. Nothing changed. You'll have a week of huffing and puffing and some opinion columns etc.
People have been trying to dig our graves for years. The haters get their "win" today. Its Christmas/4th of July for them. The news cycle will continue to churn on and Penn State will continue to be a great University filled with great people, great academics, and a great athletic program. I don't have data to support this, but I believe a lot of those that are "not guilty" in a court of law are actually guilty and a lot of those that plead down are innocent. Something doesn't add up though.. If MM told Curley and Schultz that he saw sexual abuse of a child and they didn't report, then what the heck did MM tell his father and Dranov? How did the 3 of them figure that the best course of action was to tell Joe Paterno?
And stated some of the victims they paid out were liars.

Did you miss the part of my post where I said "if the media covers it"? There's already been revelations that fell flat bc the msm didn't cover them (see finas commente re: Joe not being involved in a cover up). Take today's news for example, no one in the media seems to be asking themselves why the state would drag a case on for 5+ yrs and go from multiple felony charges to one misdemeanor if there is all these mountains of evidence against the "evil" child abuse enabling admins?

I don't care what anyone thinks. I've never not worn my Penn State gear. It's that they owed this community more. They owed Penn State to stand up. If they didn't, then they did something wrong. They were entrusted, plain and simple.
...and it doesn't matter what the media does or doesn't do...because no one cares outside of Penn State circles...and nothing that happened since 2011, including today, is going to change that fact.

It actually does matter. Penn State isn't a bubble in Pennsylvania. From academics to sports, it's not a PA bubble. What happened today is real, and it does have effects.
