Looking at the brakets we get the following obstacles to the big stage.
CJ- Logan Massa
Hall- Eppely-Valencia
Bo-Dudley-Brooks
NN- Medbery
Thoughts?

NN vs Kasper before Medbury should be interesting.
Nick will beat them all but Snyder if he opens up and uses his quickness and offense !!!! Must stay on the attack....Nick needs to hit the weights big time and he will be right there with Snyder !!!! This is why Snyder wears down against Medbury....

Interesting Joseph is wrestling Sujecki who beat Joseph 18-12 (biggest margin of victory over Cenzo in Cenzo's College Career) at the beginning of the season, interesting 1st round matchup.

Anything can happen but Cenzo went for two big throws and got tossed to his back twice for 12 points and I don't see that happening again. I hope not at least.

Joseph has come a long way in one season- I'm thinking MD here. He was able to get to the leg and finish pretty easy, and won't feel that rushed feeling he had the first match due to the early deficit. Suriano and Joseph are two guys that are as good as advertised. I read all the hub bub and knew you guys were excited, but never really understood exactly how good those two guys are until having the pleasure of watching them this season. Couple of hammers!

That was VJ's 1st match in Rec Hall, he wanted to put on a show.

I'm glad he got that one out of the way early, Can't go upper body with just anyone in college.

Cenzo did not go for throws. He reached in for the kid's leg, almost lazily and the kid whizzered and pulled Cenzo up. As he came up the Stanford kid hit a headlock. Twice.

Yep, headlock-to-hiptoss....one of the simplest and most fundamental throws, but one that you still see at all levels because it is unstoppable if the executing wrestler gets his leverage correct. By-the-by, isn't that what Diehl used on Jimmy as well? (didn't see or hear match - was watching the army-men on TrackWrestle at the time).

Why am I suddenly nervous about Mark Hall's first round match w/ #15 David Kocer of SDSt ?

Make it stop ...

Rewatched and you are correct.. none the less I don't see him getting thrown to his back twice like that again.. he has matured as much as anyone on the team this year...

Joseph is so much better now than he was in November. Expecting him to avenge his loss against Subjeck, only guys who I think can beat him if he's at his best are Massa and Martinez.

The bottom half of the 184 bracket is basically the B1G tourney [minus Jackson], but next week Bo wins it & gets the match w/Dean. Can't wait:cool:

@174 was hoping Hall would be opposite ZV. Tough path for MH to finals either way. Was looking forward to a "deja-vue" from last yrs finals @174 [rsFR #1 seed vs the trFR who came outta redshirt mid-year & upsets for title;)].

FWIW: I see Zahid possibly matches up w/Brucki in the 2nd rd. If Brucki could some how pull an upset, he'll have a great story for his grand kids some day ["one year I beat MH & ZV"...... assuming both go on to great FS careers as expected.]

diehl stepped in on a chin pick... probably a better name for it (head on outside and you reach back and grab chin...)

Kocer is certainly an above average first round opponent, but I think Hall takes care of business with a comfortable, workmanlike decision.

Missed it. I switched to a different mat for a second. When I switched it back Jimmy was walking off the mat away from everybody.
