Collegiate Duals 2.0

Venue for after Collegiate Duals:

Pat O'Briens is fun, but Hurricanes are way too sweet for me. My favorite watering hole the last time I was there was: https://www.manolitonola.com/ Cuban themed, and fantastic.

has anyone actually signed up for the event?
Seeing comments re difficulties.

Does anyone know how they show it - is there split screens - or have to have multiple windows open ?
Or just one match at a time?

Two matches at a time starting at 11:00am Monday. Post #43 has all the details for The Collegiate Portion. The High School portion starts Sunday the 18th. It includes Blair, Malvern Prep, Lake Highland Prep, Christian Brothers Academy out of NJ. and Green Farms Academy out of Ct. That schedule is on Post #78. The cost is 5.00 extra after the 15.00 Rokfin subscription. I'm getting the College so another 5.00....I'm in :)

I signed up Friday no issue. I already have a subscription to Rokfin with a credit card on file. When I went to event, it showed a little "buy PPV" icon. I clicked on it, pressed a button to purchase and it was pretty simple. When I click on event now it says "enter event” instead of "buy." I did this from laptop.

I just purchased it. Easy enough. I’ve had an active Rokfin account in the past. Logged in from app, searched for collegiate duals 2.0, clicked on the buy it icon, was prompted to log in again and then for a combined purchase of a subscription and the event for $29.95 (choosing monthly subscription). Simple.

10-3)Yianni’s wrestling bores me. He dives in on a leg and most of the time he wins a scramble. I think he’d win a 6-3, 8-5 decision against SVN, and I’d come away having learned nothing.

I’m much more interested in how SVN does against Paniro or Sherman. Can he win those quarter final, R12 type of matches against good wrestlers who aren’t at the potential 4x-er level.

can Iowa State even beat Cornell? (I don't think so)

Loew will not be there, so Coleman will definitely get bonus points. On the other hand, Carr likely won't major Ramirez, and I don't think that Bastida will major Cardenas. It could be the best dual of the two days.

(I'm impressed: at least seven misspelled names but you got Yapoujian correct! :)

Pretty good picks but at heavy Schuyler can definitely beat Fernandez. Is Cabanaban definitely going at 125 for ISU? This dual has so many great matches. Should be a ton of fun

If just ONE of those matches flips the other way it’s a whole new ballgame.

Rokfin agrees with you in their preview:

"....With such firepower in this dual, it could end up turning based on the toss-up at 157 lbs between unranked wrestlers from both sides!
Pick: Iowa State (18-13)"

Oodles of great matches to behold.

My #1 for the whole event? We exit injury free.

I don't care if any of our big guns have an off match and go down (unlikely), or if any of the young guns gets taught an early season lesson. The freshmen and Beau will all be tested, it's about time.

I think I might have read this elsewhere, but probably no RBY on day 1, right? There's really no need for him to wrestle until the second day.

Is Yianni wrestling for sure?
You decide. Match notes from cornellbigred.com:

Also dont think Swideski is a given over Cornella
This will be a good match and very even dual overall.

I guess that’s a yes

I will not be able to watch be the morning action. Does anyone know if there will be replays available.

Rokfin generally does have replays posted, of course that doesn’t necessarily mean they will this time.

Apologies if answered elsewhere, but will there be byers radio feed for ps matches or has rok locked up tight as a drum?

Also thx in advance for any pbp here as I’ll be at stadium watching ovechkin tie Howe in early evening.

I was wondering also, lionvision on the PSU app only lists Rokfin so I assume no JB

I hope I am wrong…..

Unfortunately, I don't believe you are. I recall reading or hearing Byers originally thought he'd be going to broadcast, but it turned out later that wouldn't be the case.

$30s to Rokfin, if not a subscriber, or visiting a friend for a viewing party seem your only options.

As someone else said, I hope that all the wrestlers get through this tournament without injury, and we all come through
with respect for them, win or lose. Iowa isn't there, so the latter should be easier :)

Unless ISU finds a really good 141 really quickly, they aren't beating Cornella/Cornell.
