Colorado has had 56 kids (or so, people have lost count) transfer so far

You don't turn-around a program by throwing the baby out with the bath-water. Prinetime has relegated Colorado to sucking for at least 3 years..... and probably more as it is going to be difficult to recruit without showing some sign of success and a light at the end of the tunnel.
What? If the talent is good enough why keep them?
None of us have any clue how long it will take Colorado to be good. It may be this year, may be be next, may be never...
Do you think Penn State basketball is doomed next year because no one is returning?
I do think Deion should have spent more time determining what kids were valuable but in this era the portal makes that less important. See Saban adding a QB after the spring game.

You're so full of shit as per usual, it isn't even funny. You can add a player, or even a handful of players, to a nucleus of a P5 program (especially a highly successful program) and have it work and be additive. But the notion you can field an entire team from the Portal and be successful that year, or even the next couple years, is laughably ridiculous.

We'll find out won't we. This is new. Stranger things have happened but keeping the players there that were there when he arrived wasn't going to work either.

For better or worse, this is probably the future of college football with coaching changes.

Look, if you kept Colorado's 20-30 best players and jettisoned the rest, you still would have plenty of room to bring in new talent. You don't even have to start all of them but you could use them in the 2-Deep, especially early on. Colorado may have been bad the last couple years, but their absolute best players are legit FBS athletes. Just because a player goes into the Portal doesn't make them a great player - I'd argue most of them are "marginally talented" players who are looking for a new home because they weren't seeing the field at their old home. Not all of them, but certainly most of the non-Grad X-fer guys.

Prinetime is throwing the baby out with the bath-water and it is likely going to bite him in the ass because it is going to be difficult for him to recruit until he shows he is having some success at Colorado and turning things around.

How good are there best 30 and did they want to stay? I get your point but you need to be able to see the other side. It may or may not work. Time will tell but someone was going to try this and if you're an NFL HOFer you're probably a good person to test it because you have clout. Not saying it's going to work. I just understand the thought process.

I just read an article talking about what is going on in Colorado - the article said that as of Friday (X-Fer Portal closes today) Colorado had 55 players enter the Portal and they currently have 60 Scholarship players (and 25 Scholarship available - IOW, 85 - 60 = 25). Doing the math, two things are apparent: i) Not sure how many guys used up their eligibility at Colorado last year, but a very high % of Colorado's roster from last year has been turned over, and ii) Primetime has already brought on something like 40 players via the Portal.

Assuming the majority of that number are from JSU, replacing the old Colorado scholarship players with former JSU players isn't going to work out well for Prime/Colorado.

They had 6 guys from JSU and that's down to 4 now I believe

Even if you’re trying to rebuild you still need some holdovers it’s insane

Here's a HOTLINK to the article. Article clearly states that 55 players had already Portalled at the time of publication (this past Thursday) and that the team currently has 60 Scholarship Players:

There has already been a lot of turnover and it will only continue in the coming weeks. The program saw its 55th (!!) player leave on Thursday afternoon before the spring transfer portal window closes on Sunday.

And.....

The Buffalos currently have 60 scholarship players out of 85. Simple math would allude to 25 scholarships that are still available.

He hates James. He think hack was the best qb in the country as a freshman even though he was ranked at the bottom of the B10 in passing and never won more than 7 games. James ruined him.
Did James ruin Mc Sorley and Clifford. Both are in the NFL.
I don't think Franklin is a top five coach in the Big Ten.
I don't think Franklin is a top five coach in the Big Ten.
If Franklin had Day and Harbaughs talent he certainly would be a top coach not only in the big ten but the country.

Portions of this article are insanely overwrought in their desire to imply racism. Given that the latest National Census, the 2021 Census, says that 12.6% of the US Population is "Black", it is a tautology to label all general private & public universities (i.e., non-HBCU institutions) as predominantly white "HWI".

IT’s destined to fail culture matters you need some sense of stability and cohesiveness we were better last year because of addition by subtraction. As much as everyone ripped on Clifford that team followed him around like lost puppies and they ended well

We were better because:

1. Clifford remained healthy
2. We got 2 high quality RBs
3. The OL become a good unit
4. Diaz brought some juice to the defense

I'm not sure who the addition by subtraction would be from '21 to '22. The team did follow Clifford well, but we got out schemed and over powered by Michigan and the Buckeyes beat us with 2 or 3 athletes that we just couldn't overcome that day.

Yeah, think that DE for OSU almost single-handedly beat PSU last year.
