Latest was a phantom unsportsmanlike conduct in Indiana defender to put Michigan in FG range

It wasn't really "phantom"--the Indiana player continued trying to rip the ball out about 7 yards OOB

Nice block by Indiana though--I thought it was funny FOX already had it as 13-10

Wrong, even the announcers were saying that wasn't an unsportsmanlike and he wasn't 7 yards out of bounds. How about the non-call clear pass interference earlier and then they were embarrassed into calling it after Michigan PI again the very next play? How about a few of the late shots on the Indiana qb, none of which were called?

Since when did you agree with the announcers?
Yes, it was 5-7 yards out of bounds. I would have preferred "no call" there but he absolutely tried to rip the ball out way after the play was over as you know.
I can't speak for the non-call on the PI as I didn't see it but PI calls are missed all the time. I've been watching multiple games but not once have a seen a late hit/roughing the QB--doesn't mean there haven't been but I haven't seen one
This board complains about officials way too much. This problem exists at all levels due to the speed of the game. Calls are missed. It's part of the game.

Michigan basically has twice as many penalty yards already in this game than they usually have in an entire game and Indiana has been called for 2 penalties. TWO.

Yes, clearly rigged.

You obviously haven't been watching. Stats don't tell the story. Watch the 2nd half and you will see how they will help Michigan as needed.

No matter what happens you will say that. I don't care about the officials. There's no controlling them. They'll miss calls throughout the game on both sides. You just want to believe they're against us--just preparing for next week. Again Indiana has been called for TWO penalties--spin it however you want.

No, I don't believe they are always against us. But for certain, the big 10 refs are always for Ohio St and Michigan. Doesn't matter who they play. Sometimes it is very blatant. Watch the 2nd half. They aren't going to let Michigan lose.

Of course they are always for Ohio State and Michigan--amazing they ever lose a game

Refs were probably at fault for the poor pass protection on the first down sack then the drop on third down to start the third. Oh look--another flag on Michigan

On a different note, JJ is pretty impressive -- throws a tight spiral and very accurate in short/intermediate. Open field tackling will be crucial next week, and of course, getting pressure.

Score was 10-7 Mich. IU ball on the ten yard line. QB rolls out and hits the tight end near the line of scrimmage and goes for a TD. No flag. Replay shows the TE was over the line of scrimmage y a yard so the block a back made was interference. Refs throw flag after the replay and take away a TD.

I don’t think is a reviewable play. Otherwise, every pass would be reviewed. And even though a TD was scored.......they don’t review all TD plays looking for penalties or half would be nullified for o,line holding or interference by receivers.

Michigan went 98 yards after the offsides penalty cost them 18 yards of field position but I'm sure somehow that's on the refs--I'll wait to see what they did wrong

Wait, so is Michigan "good" or not? Can one of the posters who knows these things clarify this.

At this point all i know is no one PSU has played is any good whatsoever. Georgia is, despite not covering against directional Michigan (or was it Kent) AND Missouri.

Georgia destroyed Oregon and is the defending champs. They need to pick it up or people will start questioning them. If they don't destroy Auburn they'll worry.

Henning has had a number of nice punt returns as well -- that is why it's great to have Amor, and hopefully good coverage behind it. But, our special teams kick game has been poor and needs to be better by next Sat

Always knew LandoCodouche-o was an awfully disguised posing-fan.... now we who the douche troll routes for.

I wish that Beast Of The East, Get Real, and Bushwood Country Club were still contributing to this site. Those guys would really let the Big 10 refs have it when they messed up or cheated.

No matter how this game ends, Indiana really shut down the run of Michigan. Their offense is really not that good.

Agreed--that's the main takeaway from this game. Limit their run game and force JJ to beat you. Michigan hasn't been very impressive since Big Ten play started. Hopefully that continues next week.

On the other side of the ball, Morris and Smith are tough on Michigan's DL...really big and strong and get pressure. Our interior will be tested big time.

IUs game plan of WR screens and tempo reminds me of our strategy vs Auburn last year.

Reviewed incompletion, see the ball touched the turf aiding the TE in maintaining control, over-ruled as a completion and 1st down Michigan.

That was weird - I didn’t think you can EVER review for penalties

You guys are hysterical. It took two replays to see that was a catch. If that was a Penn State player you absolutely would say it was the right call. There's zero doubt that was a catch. None. Absolutely none.

Definitely hit the ground and yet they determined it was enough to overturn the call on the field. Leads to a TD. Help when needed.
lmao it did not hit the ground
They didn't need any help.
This is why people hate our fan base. You've convinced yourself the refs blindly support Michigan and Ohio State instead of accepting that we haven't been good enough. Stop unless you're three this is unacceptable behavior. That ball never touched the ground. Absolutely didn't.

Yep, good point...and hopefully Yurcich calls quick pass plays and less of the zone read stuff...Michigan's interior can blow up an OL on their own without blitzing. But, as IU has shown, spread them out and make them play in space.

I don't have an issue with the call. I think they got it right.

My issue is, if that play happens to us next week, it will stand. Then Joel will sound like Herby defending the irrefutable evidence stuff.

I don't like the rule. You got one job in the replay booth. Stand by it on one side or the other.

I can agree with the lack of consistency but they're claiming it "clearly" hit the ground. It's pure delusion.
