Dake not only getting younger - he’s getting dumber

Since when did Dake have a tan? He has always looked like a toe-head to me. I think he has been spending to much time working on his palm callus. You can go blind from that... that and staring at the sun too long while tanning.

One observation about Dake, the guy spends enormous time and energy trying to gain that few extra percentage points of performance and recovery. In some ways, not relying on traditional workouts, food, etc is refreshing...some of this "off the wall" stuff does actually help. The sun is obviously good for vitamin D and boosting immunity, also good for dopamine and performance.

OTOH, too much of anything, good for you or not, can hurt you.

As a board certified dermatologist, let me say that Dake is mostly a moron.

No. Please don’t fall into the trap of sensationalist headlines. The gist of the study is “sunscreen, like many other things we put on our skin, does rise to a level that is detectable in the blood. There’s absolutely no evidence to suggest that this is in any way harmful, but it meets the threshold to continue examining the safety and implications.”

Nothing in that study supports anything Dake says at all. And the news article about it is intentionally misleading and sensationalist.
I prefer to listen to Julliard-trained dermatologists.

Dake made it hard to hate him for a little bit, refreshing he's making it easier again!

Hell of a wrestler, tho & I do like that he's willing to talk some guff.

Dake would rub on suntan lotion, because he rubs folks the wrong way.

I like watching him, not listening to him. He is a friggin good wrastler.

I am with Dake on this one. It is true that some (very few) people cannot handle the sun. The rest of us should just use it in moderation and allow the vitamin D to do its thing. IMHO
I’m DEFINITELY one of the few. Just got back from the outer banks. I wore a wide brimmed hat, long sleeves, SPF 30, and sunglasses and sat under an umbrella all week, and I STILL got burned early and often. Must be the scandinavian heritage.

Maybe Dake wants wrestling and the Olympic athletes to return to naked contests, as was the case for a while in ancient Greek times. That might be interesting, and it could also prove valuable for keeping wrestling in the Olympics if the sport serves as the pathbreaker.

On the other hand, there are some folks that we probably don't want to see in the raw.

Whatever is going on, I will root for Dake against Chamizo. Dake generally seems more tolerable (well, on second thought ... maybe) than when he wrestled in college, and he has opened up his style to be more offensive over the years. Both guys like to talk some trash though.

I am surprised how easy-going Myles Martin seems. I had never heard him say much until the recent FLO interviews. Is it his father who is kind of a rabble-rouser at times?

Myles grew up about 10 miles from where I live and has always been a really nice and courteous kid. His dad was another story, but after seeing him at a couple of local tournaments I would say that he has toned it down quite a bit.

The dad I saw at the NLo going crazy in the stands and his online stuff back then was a little cra cra....but I talked to him in passing at the psu vs tosu match in rec last time and we was very chill and nice.

Never met Myles but I've heard he is very nice and humble. That generally comes from a grounded home life.

Myles is the anti-Downey.

Mostly me too ... when I take the time to do all of that. Reason for me are the wrongdoings of my youth when we didn't know better.

If Coppertone called Kyle Dake tonight and offered him a $1 mil sponsorship, I bet he’d be smearing that shit on from head to toe.
