on BTN when he was talking about "young team" he did not mention PSU. he actually had tOSU as a young team - in terms of years from HS.

he did say the more elite teams (i.e. Bama) are young as they have some many early leavers to NFL or transfers other teams. according to his theory, the elites will all tend to be "young" in terms of years from HS..

PSU stands to lose about 7 or 8 starters on defense. If PF and KJ leave along with some starting lineman.....I don't know who young PSU really is. Granted there is depth virtually everywhere being developed.

agree - no idea how young we are, but by his theory the more JF improves recruiting and improves talent will drive us to always by "young". as he said once you go down the SEC path, your young recruits have to come in ready to play. this really contrasts some of the teams particularly in the BIG West who have numbers on 5th year players - i.e. Minny. so those teams are "older" but probably not many 4/5* players. his theory seems to have some merit. it also suggests a team like Minny can point to certain years where that will be "their year", but a tOSU (and now PSU) cant say next year is our year.
