You say that like the Redskins are some dominant team. Both of these teams stink...the Skins just a bit less right now. In reality, all the Skins did was dramatically worsen their draft pick in April.
Either team was going to get smoked by Seattle in the playoffs.
I never said dominant, but they're good enough to win 9 games and the division. Anything can happen in the playoffs, but hey, whatever makes you feel better
are the redskins great - NO, but they are head and shoulders above everyone else in their division. the sad part of all this is that the eagles will have an early pick but no doubt, without question, true lock, chip Kelly will draft the biggest bust ever.
I'm an eagles fan who was cheering for the Redskins. Obviously the Eagles would have below zero chance of winning a playoff game, so now they have a higher draft pick that Kelly can waste. And anyone saying the Skins have a chance and anything can happen are only kidding themselves.
Firing Chip is the easy part so who you going to hire?? And who will do the hiring?? JL kept Howie around for a reason
OK. Let's talk when "anything happens in the playoffs." Congrats to the Skins for winning the division. They won it on the field and were the best team in the division this season.
Time's Yours. How is that change everyone demanded, working out? Andy is 9-5, having won 8 in a row. But, but, but he's arrogant and stubborn, just like every successful NFL coach. Andy never lost a team. I'd take Andy back, in a heartbeat. Feel free to disagree. I don't give one damn. Chip is a bullshit artist.
I love Andy Reid, but there comes a time when change is needed for both sides. I think the Eagles franchise reached that time with Andy Reid. He's certainly better for it. The Eagles are debatable.
I share your fears about Kelly and his bag of snake oil. If he's around next season, we'll learn a lot about his ability/desire to adapt his schemes. The same crap and they'll be lucky to win 4-5 games.
They play the NFC and AFC North next year. They're going to get smashed.

I would like to think he is gone. College guys are always a long shot. He is so full of himself and "his" system" he REALLY believed you could start anyone on the OL and the "system" would thrive. I do understand the injuries but for him that does not matter, it is ALL about the system, not the players and talent !!!
Maybe. They also have some pieces that could come back and help lead a big turnaround. Bradford is first in that line.
I guess there are a few players that can lead them out of the current mess but I think we're looking at a 3 year re-build. Which, it seems to me, has to be done with a new GM/HC in place.
The Eagles need 5 OL, 2 WRs, 2 LBs and 2 CBs... pretty long shopping list.
At the very least, the DC is history.
I think that with a new starting guard or 2, the OL will be majorly improved. That buys them another year to develop some depth to replace aging guys...Peters being the exception, but they drafted Johnson to eventually replace him.
I hear you on WRs and CBs. The Maxwell contract ensures he's back at least 2 more years.
