Eireman to Iowa

As he tells it, Eierman basically decided he was transferring, called Brands and told him he was on his way to Iowa City to see him.

Between Eierman and DeSanto, Iowa scored big in the transfer department. Without them, they would be more the same team that we have seen for the last decade. The fact Eierman gets two years of competition with only one year of eligibility is rather fortuitous. Could you imagine if Penn State was getting him for two years like that, Hawkreport would be in permenant meltdown.

And without a crazy unprecedented amount of pound for pound talent at PSU the last decade they would be the same also ran program they were for most of college wrestling. It is nice to have talent.

Perhaps the Brands twins need to do a better job at recruiting.
To be fair, with Suriano's success Goodale has shown good things can happen recruiting other schools athletes. Grab a couple already successful studs from other programs, provide an administrative job for a parent or two of elite HS recruits and you too can position yourself to make a run.

They had to combat our slush fund somehow...

Gable only taught them the basics. Look intense, jump around, yell at refs, coaches, wrestlers and their dads. Some recruit’s dad taught them the finer points like recruiting and having a blast. They’re taking donations now for the admin guy holding a binder statue to be placed beside the Gable stalling statue

Cael would never stoop to bringing in a transfer obviously. Looking forward to seeing Kerkvliet this weekend!

Iron guy over there had the gull to complain about Penn State gathering all of the talent and it was bad for the sport. Apparently he was not around when the Hawks were doing the same years ago. Go figure.

Speaking of Suriano--I know he's staying out this year, an Olympic year. Is it known whether he's coming back next year, and if so, where? I heard a rumor a while back that he might transfer--but that was quite a while ago. Also heard that he was planning on MMA career.

BTN did a special this season about eirman and his transfer.

Anyone who thinks TnT had to work to get him are wrong, according to their own words.

Its actually a pretty entertaining piece if it can be found and rewatched.

All due respect - we had Andrew Long in 2011. We have Kerkvliet right now. Let's not go there.

With Nick Lee, we have an excellent chance against Eireman.
That was before Eierman routinely drank Iowa City water and trained under the Brands brothers. He's on another level now. He's also now using the patented training program designed to put a wrestler at his peak for the Big Ten tournament. Lee is toast if they meet in the finals.

In Suriano's case I think it was offering father some college contract opportunities from what I heard.
