Bassett to Iowa

I’m not so sure Bo’s team did much.
I think Iowa panicked a bit when they realized they weren’t maybe the lock they thought.
It just worked out for them.
And as far as other NIL deals?
I think most if not all are exaggerated.
And Bo’s value to Iowa is big…

Blaze is one of the few people on earth who gave Ono a match during Ono’s 2024-25 blitzkrieg - losing 7-2 (vs 12-2 loss by Uguev and 12-0 Ono tech of Vito). In the same tournament, Bassett got teched 10-0 by a Japanese wrestler who is not Ono.

But Blaze doesn’t take daily pictures of his alarm clock, so he’s clearly not as impactful of a wrestler

Not happening. He has a great situation at McCort. He'll likely fly out 1 week a month or so to train at Iowa.

But he/his family are not giving up being able to attend every single good tournament there is, be on a good team and be able to travel whenever they want by moving to Iowa.

Iowa high schools can't even compete anywhere inseason. Bo isn't giving up becoming a 4x Ironman champ to go to the RTC.
I think he has way bigger goals than a HS schedule and being on a good team. His team is HWC now. He's made it clear he doesn't care about PIAA accomplishments, so why stay? To wrestle at Ironman? Whatever online school he wants to be on can register a team there if that's important.

I didn't say anything about his entire family.

One problem is his current team might give him better competition than the Hawkeye Wrestling Club, I am only half joking. HWC is little depth with is a great indicator of what wrestlers think of the Brands regarding their ability to "coach" wrestlers up to win medals on the international level.

To justify his NIL deal I wonder how many apartment units Bo will have to sign up tenants for to meet Bob’s quota?

The worst part of Bo going to Iowa by far is starting now, 5-6 more years of the Hawkeye Beacon annointing him the best wrestler in history, even after he proves he isn't.

Maybe Iowa can hire his girl friend and then Tim and Jim on BTN can slobber about them being wrestling next power couple like Alex and Moriah.

Obviously no one is fooled by the “all the NIL offered were the same” schtick, and the abrupt change of timeline right after January 31st is surely no coincidence.

Of course we always reflexively want to sign all the top guys and it’s not practical, but I did think Oklahoma State was his best non-PSU choice for his long term development (though that would clearly be the biggest threat to us if he went there over Iowa).

I will admit my heart sank a bit when I saw him come out in the Iowa sweatshirt - but for him, not us.

Hope I’m wrong and he has an amazing career.
Psu had more to offer bo career than bos career offered to psu

Stein beat Melvin Miller last year. Penn commit.
I know who Max Stein is. Known since he was in Pee Wees. He was almost a CRS Golden Hawk if not for the pandemic.

Try to stay on point.
