Would you expect anything more from the SEC homers? I used to listen to their Campus Conversation podcasts regularly, but in the off-season they interview coaches. The past two seasons have included no interviews with Big Ten coaches. They’ll interview Saban three times a year, but they didn’t even interview Urbs or Jimmy. We know who butters their bread.
Why are you giving that scumbag network the time of day? Are you forgetting how they treated us and continue to? They sure knew how to mention Penn State during the “Paterno Scandal”. The only reason to watch them is when we are on and we have no choice. Otherwise they should burn in Bristol.
Had a ten hour drive one way back during football season. I had ESPNU radio on all the way down on the drive and listened to all the shows. In an entire day they only mentioned 13 different teams. The bulk of it was Bama, Georgia and ND, but the rest of it was talking about a handful of teams. It’s the same all season long. I used to listen pretty consistently during football season but got tired of only hearing about those 13 teams, hearing an interview with the same three coaches every week (Dabo Sweeney is a weekly guest), and hearing the callers that continue to call in about the same teams. It’s not an SEC thing as much as it’s a select few teams thing. The only times all season they discussed Penn State was when Franklin did something they didn’t like (“icing” the kicker, his interview after the OSU game) or when they were playing OSU.
How about BTN? I know they had a signing day show but got home too late to see it.
Anybody see or hear it?
Also on the graphic ticker during talking head time every single power 5 school is listed with their conference rank and top recruit or number of ESPN top 300 recruits. I saw one exception to this. Penn State crawls by at no. 2 in the Big. No mention of top recruit or ESPN 300 recruits, instead it says 9-3 in 2018. Literally, the only school with last year's record in the graphic. Had to be intentional.
saw same thing - unbelievable bias. On Recruiting Nation last night talked top 20 - PSU MIA except CJF recording about having a great class. Then Tom L gets on and says "every coach says they are totally happy with their class - even if they miss on their 3 most important targets down the stretch". He was implying that was us. totally pssses me off since PSU then has to market against the media. maybe CJF should go to twitter ala the President to offset the fake news (not trying to make a political statement).
