Failed to follow the suggestion of others.

Yes, clearly Cael forfeited to Zahid because he had already written off the Iowa dual and didn't want to give Brands the satisfaction of being first.

Read the post I responded too. Seems some on this board are happy that Iowa didn’t end the streak.

I think it's been awhile since you pulled that one out -- nice return. ;)

I have to admit, my first reading of the situation found my eyebrows raised. It seemed weird to me from the beginning.

But freak injuries happen, and it could have easily happened there. I also don’t want to believe a D1 kid would fake an injury to get out from under the shame of getting pinned in the biggest dual of his life.

I’m mostly with the others touting how great RBY looked. Huge confidence booster for Roman heading into next week.

I never would question another wrestler's injury. Especially in a scenario where he gives up 6 team points. Let's just hope he is OK. Because from what I've seen tonight, RBY has his number. Let's just focus on SeaBass and Gross. Maybe we are looking at 4 NCAA Champs!

Well said

What’s the benefit of faking an injury? At home? In a 1 vs 2 matchup? If he gets pinned, it’s 6 points anyway. An injury default is a loss on his record too, so it can’t be for seeding. Is it simply ego? That seems like a stretch. Lots of great wrestlers have been pinned before. I guess I’m not seeing the motivation for such an action.

So if Desanto is out for the season yall will come back and apologize for this thread right?

Watch from this point at the restart to the 2nd cradle. His right knee was under tremendous stress and showed explosion coming off the bottom and into his shot. He'll be fine.

Our fans that accused him of tapping out should. But let's hope that's not the case. But conversely to that argument, if he's on the mat next week, should you?
A strained acl can have you on the mat in a week. Maybe not at 100% but a week or two recovery is not uncommon. So no, I dont think I should.

This thread is a really bad look. Glad to see some of you stepping up and trying to straighten out the OP. I stayed after the meet for a bit(met Dan Gable:D)and Austin was clearly limping bad after he walked Through the handshake line and into the tunnel. No faking that

I don't think you should either dude. But you can't paint everyone on the thread with the same brush. I was just making a point. You're a smart guy. I appreciate your insight on these threads.

Most surprising news was that Desanto was in the handshake line.

Maybe Desanto can get another couple of years of eligibility. I have heard it’s the new craze.

Does Spey factor in common opponents during the current wrestling season at all or is that too insane?

He just shoveled dirt on the last thread of credibility I was giving Flo. What a jackass.
I had a dream the other night that Willie and his new venture partnered with Wrestlestat and also got into streaming live matches and tourneys.

Ok.ok....it wasn't really a dream. It was me sitting around thinking up ways for another group to come in and bury FloWrestling...

Spey is a hack and an idiot. RBY was dominating DeSanto, who is widely known for his lack of sportsmanship. Spey is just pretending to take high ground -- moral grandstanding.
Hahaha what does sportsmanship have anything to do with the other points you are making?

Rewatching it now

Desanto hobbles back to center in the first ... Then explodes up on the whistle

Nolfs Junior year is no longer impressive. If he was really hurt, why could he win matches at the NCAA. The whole thing is a farce. What a wuss.

It's not beyond reason to think that DeSanto would . . . let's say ..."exaggerate" an injury at an opportune moment in order not to get cradled and count the lights ... twice in fact

Can you describe this jumping around? Video evidence?
I dont know. You commented on the ice. Was curious what you thought about the rest of his post.

I'm like you....I don't think much of what Iowa fans have to say either. If he was jumping around I'd like to see it as well..
