I remember IMar took 5th at Midlands his first, RS year.... (almost positive Imar RSed his first year).
Yes, Aaron is a true freshman for college eligibility, but he was in the high school class of 2018 and spent a year at the Olympic training center and wrestling high-end freestyle. Not your typical "true freshman".
Haven't seen him wrestle yet, other than some youtube highlights. Do folks here really give him a good chance vs Zahid?
I'm not so sure. AB has one hell of aan ankle pick. If he shows that speed we have seen so far it may come to that. High scoring match and I don't think many 184 guys in college can use speed like that. Zahid may get tired. Interesting topic. Hope we all get to see itIt is all about riding ability. If you can belly him out, Zahid’s length works against him. In Mark Hall’s last win against him, he rode Zahid an entire period. Up at 184 Zahid is less likely to gas. I would not want to try and win a takedown battle against him. When you get him down, keep him on the mat.

top4Barring something unforseen, What would be a fair expectation for A. Brooks at NCAA tournament this year?
Not to be picky, but Ruth’s wins over Lewnes and Nolf’s over Imar were when they were RS FR. StandwithPride’s post was if AB beat Zahid as a true FR—quite a feat!
My response was to roy and his post about Ed Ruth and Lewnes. Not to be picky, but Ruth’s wins over Lewnes and Nolf’s over Imar were when they were RS FR. StandwithPride’s post was if AB beat Zahid as a true FR—quite a feat!
