Mason's a happy camper, and the "no daylight in sight" thinking is a bit short-sighted. He's a RSFR this season, with a shot at an OlyRS in 2019/20, meaning he could have 3 years of eligibility left after Joseph and Hall depart. Heaven only knows what course the young man will take, continued improvement in folk, and I can see scenarios where he's a starter down the road.Got to love Carson Manville too, it's hard to believe he is so young. He just looks so mature and strong for a sophomore. Athletic, fast, strong, agressive and relentless. Let's hope he viewes PSU favorably even though it seems big bro is boxed out of the lineup with no real daylight in sight. Maybe Mason is happy focusing on Greco, but everytime I watch Carson I come away thinking 'wow'! I try not to put too much stock in Sophomore kids as so much can change, but he is the real deal. In two more years he may/will end up being ranked the #1 p4p and will be on everyone's radar as the #1 recruit. Flo currently has him as #2 in the 2021 class and he only seems to get stronger, the kid is an animal.
Manville and Facundo are going to have themselves a battle for the #1 P4P in the 2021 class by the time they graduate. Before this summer I’d probably have given Manville the edge due to the number of elite wins. However, Facundo medaling at Cadet Worlds and Carson not evens things up a bit in my eyes.Got to love Carson Manville too, it's hard to believe he is so young. Parris is a manchild forsure. Cass has done well this past year making this a highly anticipated match. One thing I know is both project to do quite well at the next level. Looking forward to thatAnyone know enough about Cassioppi to handicap his match with Parris? I've seen Parris wrestle since he was a freshman and he's a beast. I expect Parris to dominate, but I can't be objective and know very little about Cassioppi.
I was looking forward to Starocci and Wittlake meeting in the final, so much for my prognostications.Kharchla over Wittlake 7-4
Plott over Starocci 6-2
Plott is gonna be a monster when he fills out.

So can I predict they will meet for third?
Some real morons on that forum. Most likely we will see Parris vs Cassioppi in the Semis, nice! Talk on Hawkreport is whether Parris can keep it close, lol, those guys crack me up, they honestly have no idea how good Parris is. The real question is whether Cass can keep it close with Parris who has been considered the better prospect for at least the last 2 years.
@Flying_Tiger better call your officeSome real morons on that forum.
2 years is long enough! Most likely we will see Parris vs Cassioppi in the Semis, nice! Nope, Wittlake lost in the consi-semis.

Should we call off the full court press?Man, what has happened to Wittlake?
Sad to me to read this but true. Maybe the Lovett kid will make hay in college.Crazy. Never said anything when he was committed, but for whatever reason, wrestlers from Oregon/Washington/Idaho seem like a big risk at the D1 level.
Ain't he a former greco world team member? I know Idaho pumps out Greco guys... Any chance he goes that route?Sad to me to read this but true. Maybe the Lovett kid will make hay in college.
Yes he is a Greco stud. Don't think he's totally made his mind up yet.Ain't he a former greco world team member? I know Idaho pumps out Greco guys... Any chance he goes that route?
Nitpicking here, but Starocci's leg attacks are a little worrisome.
To be fair, Plott was the #1 seed but I get what you are saying. Starocci didn't look so hot. Kept taking poor shots from space and getting himself in trouble. Scrambling wasn't the best either.
Parris losing like he did was obviously a big surprise. Should of known I was in trouble when MSU started talking him up over on hawk report, lol. Still don't think Cassioppi could replace Stoll's points as a true freshman but he has justified some of the hype with this result. Of course it's also possible Parris was even more overrated.
Stems from the fact he is arguably the best prospect in the state for 2019. 2019 is probably the thinnest class that PA has produced in a while. Which makes the two 2018 recruits rolling into 2019 (Brooks, Beard) look even better. Not to be a downer, but I have no idea what people are talking about when they say Starocci is a must get. I just don't see it.
Cassioppi dominant... very obvious he has a lot of Freestyle experience as well. Used it wisely.
Gable. Snacks. Cassioppi. Parris. What a time to be a HWT.
I would have loved to see big snacks to have wrestled Gable or Cassi this year just to guage where each stands.
You must not be from Illinois. We all knew what a stud he was for a year or two now. Northwestern knew it and unfortunately for them he backed out of their agreement and chose the Hawks.Yep, and I have taken some grief on this board for stating the ever so more obvious, Cassi is a stud and with that stocky build and not stop motor he is going to give a lot of guys a lot of trouble. If Stoll's knee keeps him out this year the drop off for the Hawkeyes will not be too great.
What I like about the kid is he enters everything and takes on all comers, and it shows in how rapidly he is improving. With all the new hardware in his trophy case, there is a case to be made for him as the #2 in this class behind Gable. I think the Hawkeyes found a diamond in the rough.
Cassi has been going through folk and free tourneys l like a meat shreader all year. I only wish big snacks was as motivated. Other than Ca. states he has had little open tourney time lately, and simply destroying a bunch of Ca heavies is not the best benchmark. I would have loved to see big snacks to have wrestled Gable or Cassi this year just to guage where each stands.
They got Jessen ... and Davison. How many top 10-20 recruits has Northwestern lost over the last few years? I feel like it is at least 4.
